QUIZ RECAP

The gambling bug has hit Shakertin's, at least in so far as the liberal use of the deadly Double-or-Nothing as pertains to our weekly pub quiz!  The King Trivia crowd dominated the bar last night, not only numerically but with the noisy natter natural to the quiz notion! (Whew!) 

Pickles on a Plate doubled in Round One and again in Round Six to lead off and finish in first place respectively.  One Left in the Chamber not only suffered the worst setback of the evening but also enjoyed the finest comeback, all due to the aforementioned DoN.  Two failed doubles in Rounds One & Two delayed them even getting on the board until Round Three, but two successive and successful DoN's in Rounds Five & Six propelled them sixth, to third and finally into the second place winning slot!  Setback, comeback, baby's got back and back in the saddle again all in one game!  Wow!  

Unfortunately, Quiz Master Lou is going to have to take some heat here. A post game audit of the scores revealed that Deadly Alliance's score had been calculated incorrectly and ten extra points were erroneously added to their total.  This prompted an unnecessary Tie Breaker for third place.  The Nitty Knockers are the natural Third Place winners.  Notifications have gone out.  Restitution will be made.  Current scores have been corrected.  Quiz Master Lou will appear before a hearing of KTPQ Commission.  Sorry 'bout that...
