Howdy y’all. We can’t wait to have ya come kick up your boots and stay awhile at El Tejano, Los Angeles’ ultimate Tex Mex hangout. The plan is to serve the usual suspects: enchiladas, queso, Frito Pie, in and amazing indoor/outdoor relaxed environment. And don’t forget the margaritas: frozen, on the rocks, with a beer in it for all we care. Just get here quick for great grub and a huge outdoor patio chalk full of games to play and TVs to watch.

You'd never know Summer has wound to a close at El Tejano this week!  A huge crowd of 20 teams met on the patio to do mental battle and take home one of three gift certificates that would serve to vindicate their trivia mettle and fill their stomachs!

New and topical team Weinstein? I hardly know her! took the top spot this week, but the point spread between them and second place Here Comes Troubled and third place Like Winter, I'm Coming was only 3 points!!

Tonight was balmy and temperate, but remember, when it starts to get cold, we'll be moving inside, so if you don't play every week, make sure you check before you grab your seats!

We had a great night playing trivia at El Tejano this week!  It began with “woo”s from the teams before I could even get my first sentence out, and we had many amazing and friendly teams playing, including newbies like G-Stream and Team NBCU.

We played a diplomatic drink round in honor of our President’s first trip to the United Nations.  Teams first had to whittle down the date of the founding of the UN (one by one they’d pick a date and I’d tell them if the actual date was earlier or later until we narrowed it down to the answer), and then a second round where we looked for the date that the most recent country (South Sudan) joined the UN.  Then the winners of those two rounds faced off by giving their best presidential introduction to the UN of players! Winner by audience G-Stream vote got a round of drinks!

After all the trivia dust settled, Turd Ferguson took the top spot after two successful Double-or-Nothings, sending Tequila Hoes back to second place. It Aren’t a Fox pulled up into third place.

FYI, as the weather gets cooler, we’ll be moving from the patio outside to the inside of the restaurant for trivia.  Stay tuned, we’ll be giving regulars a couple week’s notice.
