QUIZ RECAP

Close night teams! This game got wild- Club Obi-Wan kept a strong lead, but fellow regulars Those People managed to narrow the game and keep them on their toes within a five-point margin. Never stop fighting for it teams, it's only a matter of time til the next tournament!

However, it was once again the battle for bronze that kept us on our toes. Your quizmaster was almost ready to close the game when Pizza Fries noted a miscount- rightfully throwing them into a tiebreaker showdown with Twinkie Time!

The margin was narrow, each team getting pretty close, but Pizza Fries fought for their right and now, they party in the top 3!

QUIZ RECAP

Great night everyone! Thank you for weathering the delay- the football fans had to appease their bloodlust.

Regardless, our top teams came out to play, making tonight a night for our Rocco's Tavern All-Stars! All of them played closely, but we had a true underdog story tonight. After struggling for several rounds, That Person bounced back with a successful double in round five, giving him just enough interim to take the lead, and sealed his victory in the finale with a final double. Congratulations!!

But this was not an easy slam- Perpetually Second Place fulfilled their prophecy and regained silver by one point, with Almost Okay and Pizza Fries squaring off for a final tiebreaker! It was close, but Pizza Fries edges out and won their saucy, saucy bronze.

Congrats teams! Keep your eyes on this space- we'll let you know if there's trivia next week during MLK Day.

UPDATE: Hey teams! Rocco's is having a private holiday party tonight- so it looks like we have the night off! See you next week!

Guys, I gotta level with you:

THIS WAS SUCH A FUN NIGHT.

We filled the house at Rocco's, with just about everybody there to play trivia. Ten teams collided, but only one could be champions

Though everyone knew where to clap when the Friends theme came on, which quite frankly made my night.

So many of our teams played fiercely, fighting for that trivia crown. It could have gone in so many directions, but in a heated crowd full of trivia junkies, the strategists stood supreme- Pizza Fries won the Guess Who Round and doubled successfully where few others dared (twice), sealing their score for the gold (and crushing their new "rivals" Pizza Bread). Their first victory at Rocco's and I'm proud to see it- congratulations!

So many teams fought valiantly for that top 3 though- Those People got a successful double in the fifth round and, with their already consistent score, scored silver. Almost Okay: I'm Baby??? grew into a fully matured trivia team by night's end with a successful double and a killer guess in the Guess Who round and made their claim for bronze.
