Crazy fun night tonight. Newcomers Quizlamic State was the only team to successfully double during round two, and that turned out to the major difference, as they won the night by only three points. Five teams unsuccessfully tried to double throughout the night, and most just narrowly missed. So anyone could have walked away with the grand prize. My favorite team name of the night was "Under the Viking's Abs," which you can just make out in the wide shot of trivia. They're the team sitting under the poster of the shirtless Viking on the right.

We Came to Play Uno won out a tough night. They started slow but came out strong in round 3. They never lost the lead after that, but Kim's Always Right was hot on their heels for most of the night. In fact, they might've won if they hadn't confused Paul McCartney with Phil Collins. To throw salt on the would, I finished out with the seminal classic, In the Air Tonight.

Apparently, the winners, Blondies and the Bitch, were so excited that they wanted to take a photo with their quizmaster. Oh, and while their team name is pretty great, there was one better last night: Better Late Than Pregnant. Coincidentally, that is new favorite team name of ever. I'm thinking of instituting a weekly contest for funniest team name. Maybe I'll give out extra points or buy the team a round. That sounds like fun. What do you think?
