Man, I hope y'all had a great time tonight at The White Harte! Because, I sure as hell did! A lot of regular teams and some newcomers as well! One player even said I looked like Wil Wheaton! (I personally don't see the resemblance, but as a total nerd I take that as a huge compliment!)
Tonight's drinking round was "Battle Dice!" Where I (in true nerd fashion) busted out 2 of my D&D 20 sided dice and had teams compete in a tournament of high rolls! In the championship round, Apples and Honey rolled a natural 1 (critical failure) and thus, the winning team... Probably shouldn't have gotten more drinks since despite being repeatedly told "this is a bar" kept on asking "Donde Esta la Biblioteca?"
In our regularly scheduled King Trivia program... In 3rd place, a team whom I assume takes part in some kind of South Floridian, aqua mammalian, pagan ritual where they sacrifice boat propellers and heads of lettuce... Bonfire of the Manatees!
In 2nd place... They had a 1 point lead from round 3 to round 6! That lead didn't falter since they were all definitely sober because... Yunno... Laws... Slightly Underaged!
Traveling through time and sqeeeeeeezing into 1st place by 1 point! The team who brings us such words to live by as "Be excellent to each other" and "Party on!" Wyld Stallionz!

WOW you guys, just... WOW! What a crazy night of trivia at the White Harte! I can't believe how close the scores were all game, especially at the end! First off, tonight's drinking round was "Thirsty, Thirsty Hippos" where 2 groups of team reps competed in the childhood classic and the winner of each round competed again to decide the champion. Well, in the first round we had a tie, so we ended up with a 3 hippo tournament of champions! The team with the thirstiest name conveniently won the drinks! The Kool-Aid Man!
Coming in 3rd, a team that's lucky The White Harte is also a restaurant and not just a 21+ bar, Slightly Underaged!
Then it get's really interesting... The Kool-Aid Man, after trailing behind after 2 failed doubles early on. Nailed one in round 6. Causing them to burst through the wall and into a tie for first, with the largest of cerebellum Oscar's Big Brain who held the lead throughout the game! You might say... "So what Adam, they tied, do a tie breaker." But what do you do when both teams nail the seating capacity of Dodgers Stadium at 56,000? I thought maybe "rock, paper, scissors" or another game of hungry hungry hippos, or maybe another question that's totally unrelated... While I was musing on this, they decided to compromise. Oscar's Big Brain claimed the 1st place prize but The Kool-Aid Man would take 1st place in the standings, since OBB is not competing in the tournament. I really love how friendly and civil all my players are! This is why I love this venue!

WHOAH NELLY! 1st place seemed to be like a mechanical bull at a redneck bar tonight at The White Harte! Everyone had a chance to ride. The title was held by many. But eventually, only one can stand victorious!
That victorious team was M-C-Hammered! Who despite their namesake, did not win their fortune early on and blow it all. But rather, trailed slightly until a double or nothing in round 5 solidified their 1st place spot! (More like Vanilla Ice.)
In 2nd place... They started off strong, but had a few fumbles due to their tiny little rodent hands. But still, ended up with a silver win! The Fighting Mongooses!
In tonight's drinking round "I am the One Who Knocks!" Teams wrote me some awesome knock, knock jokes! M-C-Hammered won that one too with:
"knock, Knock" ... "Who's there?" ... "YA" ... "YA who?" ... "RIDE 'EM COWBOY!"
