Grunions Sports Bar & Grill is a South Bay local landmark. It’s been a local’s favorite spot to watch any major (and even minor) sporting event while eating the best pub food around. It all started in 1974 when Grunions Sports Bar & Grill opened its doors in Manhattan Beach, CA. The mission then, as it is today, was to provide a place where people can go and enjoy great food and drinks while cheering on their favorite sports teams, in a comfortable (and family friendly) environment where everyone is treated like a regular even if it’s their first visit. It was a packed house tonight with plenty of old faces back in action as well as some new friends too. A rare hockey themed round resulted in a USA chant in honor of the USA Women's hockey team and we learned everything there was to know about different types of scales in the connection round. 

Free beer was given away to Teama Ima for being the most knowledgeable in America's favorite family, The Simpsons. We even got to listen to a few rad cover songs of the Simpson's theme while our teams battled it out. Great job team Xan Carson for the big win, which was no easy feat tonight with 14 teams competing!
