Since the 9th century, the Viking longship has been a symbol and a vessel of exploration, trade, and cultural exchange. The pride of the nordic people was their ability to cross the oceans in ways that no other people had done before. It was a jam packed evening at Longship Brewery this week as 11 teams, a delightful blend of veteran and newcomers, duked it out for cerebral superiority.

The State of our Union was strong. Rather that watch that, a lot of folks would rather have drinks, fun, and answer a lot of questions that actually matter, in the grand scheme. Life makes more sense, when you are at trivia.

Some notable moments tonight:

Pickle Rick! scored 10 points in two separate rounds and didn't double or nothing in either round. But since they came in first, it was an excellent lesson in restraint.

The Indifferent Penguins successfully doubled or nothing in the final round (which we think) is the first time in a while (if not ever) that this has happened at Longship.

Warrior Wanderers took third place their first night out, which is always quite impressive.
