QUIZ RECAP

A lot of first timers tonight (at least for me)! We had the return of the Churchill Boys from last week as well as the debut of Opening Day, We Left Our Ringer @ Home, Vita, and the split from Mike Tyson's Speech School that resulted in half of that original team's schism into the Mystery Stains. Blame the in-laws being in town for the newborn shown in the photos! Everyone say it with me: Awwwww....

But enough baby talk...this is serious business, as trivia always is. And even with the extra help that the baby brought to their team, Mike Tyson's Speech School started out rough with a bungled Double or Nothing in the first round (Star Trek doubled CBS All Access subscribers, not Twilight Zone!). But with the help of their new mascot (who I swear I could see using an iPhone at one point, but no one believed me...), they rocketed back into first place with perfect Rounds 5 and 6 with a Double in the latter of the two! And there they remained, securing their gift card and saving the money they didn't spend for the little one's college fund.

Other areas of note:

• Nearly all the teams got the 6-point clue for Round 4 as there was frantic scribbling of Demi Moore as the answer after they heard the actress in question was in St. Elmo's Fire.
• Barely Knowledgable came in a strong second place after neglecting to Double down earlier. And due to their constant (and not serious) heckling throughout the night, I'm now going to call them Barely Tolerable.
• Vita did better than they expected by scoring 7 points by the end of the night! Considering they only thought they'd get one or two, this was a huge step up!
