QUIZ RECAP

It was another wild and FUNtastic game of King Trivia at Thunderbird on Sunday night. We stared the game an hour later due to some football shenanigans going on. Something about playoff games? I don't know because we all know Sundays at Thunderbird were really made for King Trivia! 😉

13 teams competed for 1st place and $30 in chips for their next visit to Thunderbird! "8PM Is the New 7PM" started out the game strong doubling their score when they doubled or nothing their round and did, in fact, answer all their answers correctly. But "Dan Mitchell Says Good Day, Sir" won the round by doubling their points AND getting an extra 2 points for having their team registration number from this very website. #meta "Girthquake," "Mungojerrie and Rumpleteazer" and "Choncago Balls" were all tied for third place by the end of Round 1. But by Round 2, "Girthquake" doubled their points allowing them to tie with "8PM Is the New 7PM" "Le Tigres" proved they were a team of wits in Round 3, when they doubled their points. "Dan Mitchell Says Good Day, Sir" also doubled their points while "8PM Is The New 7PM" gained two additional points to their score for having their team number. "Oops I Think Georgie Farted" guessed our Famous Person in Round 4 on the 10 point clue! And they DOUBLED their score in Round 5. But they busted on Rounds 6 and 7 when they tried to double or nothing again. I don't blame them. By this point in the game the only way they could catch up was to try and double their points. They played with honor, dignity, and class. "Alexia and Colleen" joined the game a few rounds in and actually crushed many of our questions not only ending the evening with an impressive 30 points but they also won the Drinking Round when they knew the correct year and closest month to the release of "Caddyshack."
This evening's game ended with "Le Tigres" in THIRD place and $10 in Thunderbird chips "8PM Is The New 7PM" snagging SECOND place by only one point ahead of "Le Tigres." They also received $20 in Thunderbird chips! Coming in FIRST place with a healthy lead was "Dan Mitchell Says Good Day, Sir." Their lead was made possible when they doubled their points in Round 6, our handout round, matching all the answers perfectly.
