In a city known more for its glitz than its grit, Angel City Brewery is proud to rough things up a bit and work beneath the shiny surface. Our home in the Los Angeles Arts District is both brewery and canvas, the center of a revival for the city's artists, musicians, hustlers, and craftspeople. It's an LA that's as ambitious as it is diverse & and our beer is no exception.

This was a hell of a game! Angel City never lets me down when it comes to turnout- fourteen teams competed valiantly for glory today, but only one could come out on top.

After a series of back and forths and insane attempts at double or nothing, only three teams stood in the wreckage of the final round. What Would Elle Do successfully hailed Mary'd that final double to get into the bronze, but first became a final showdown between consistent champions Mutants Ovef at Table 9 and the new upstarts Ace and Eight, nailing the final double and throwing themselves into a final tiebreaker showdown.

Their question? According to the Guinness World Record, what's the height (in meters) of the tallest freestanding house of cards?

The Mutants guessed 4m.
Ace and Eight guessed 12m.

The correct answer? 7.86m

By a narrow margin, the Mutants were our winners for the final time!

That's right teams, it looks like it's our final Saturday at Angel City. I've had such an amazing time hosting you. Keep your eyes on this spot if anything changes, but in case it doesn't I've had such a pleasure and honor making your weekend.

As always, tip your bartenders and have an amazing weekend. ?

Packed afternoon at Angel City! The competition was intense, with so many of our teams going in for the kill. In the end, timing was key- Drunk in Public had a clutch double in the sixth round that gave them just the push they needed to hold onto the lead. Congratulations!

Our runners-up came super close, with two teams throwing themselves into a tiebreaker for third. By a narrow margin, Pa's Legacy took the bronze and Too Early for Names found themselves once more the bridesmaid but never the bronze bride. Excellent work regardless though.

Thank you so much for coming out this Saturday. See you next week!

Welcome to the future everybody! New year, new trivia, and y'all came ready to fight.

No one was more prepared than our champions this week, If You're Desperate and You Know it, Bomb Iran! This team came in swinging- doubling in two rounds and near perfect scores in the others. Equally astonishing was them nailing the Guess Who round within a second of the first clue- helps to have a diehard Weird Al fan on your team (especially when you have photo evidence for your concerned quizmaster).

Not to say the other teams didn't put up a challenge- Missionaries in a Hot Tub stumbled in the early rounds, but two successful successive doubles in rounds 5 and 6 bounced them back into the top 2.

And for the bronze, we had a tiebreaker showdown between a pair of rising teams- Too Early for Names and The Tirebiters. The former went big and went hard, while the latter did the King Trivia equivalent of betting $1 on The Price is Right.

Wouldn't you know it, it's a classic strategy for a reason! Congratulations Tirebiters!

To all our teams, thank you so much for coming out to play. See you all next week!
