'Twas the night before Thanksgiving and all through the College Bar and Grill, barely a creature was stirring, not even on Mill; the beers still did flow, all in hopes King Trivia would still be a go.

The few patrons were sitting, all drinking their liquid bread, with visions of turkeys dancing in their heads; I with my questions and the bartender with his hat, pondered a fun night of Trivia during our chat. When next to the bar, "We are ready to play King Trivia" arose in a clatter, I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.

Away I went to start the great game, with three one-person teams vying for fame. The Thanksgiving-themed questions flew through the air, with the teams trying to answer, but had hardly a prayer.

Now food!, now music, now history and all! On football, on tradition, on family and the mall. To the first question to the very last, answer away! answer away to them all.

And then in a twinkling, I finished them up, with Forbes on top with 40 in his cup. Eddie came in two, but he said he was not through (with his beer).

As I packed my stuff up, no one spoke a word. I continued to tidy, thinking about the fun that had just occurred. As I sprang to my feet to head to my car, I heard someone yell from inside the bar.

WE LOVE KING TRIVIA FOR ALL, AND FOR ALL A HAPPY THANKSGIVING

At College Bar & Grill 3 teams gathered to battle for their right to be the King of Trivia! This week we had Ballz, Pitter Patter, and Boys Who Cry competing.

In our General Knowledge Round 1 Boys Who Cry were able to get all of the answers correct while Pitter Patter missed just one. After adding points for registered teams Boys Who Cry were in the lead with points with Pitter Patter tailing behind with 7 points, and Ballz in third with 5 points!

Our Picture Round number 2 asked the teams to identify the last names of the real and fictional Olivias shown in the images. Pitter Patter was able to get 6 of the 8 correct while our other teams only got 3 or 4 of them correct.

Round 3 was all about "half". Ballz missed 1 question regarding team positions in rugby while Boys Who Cry and Pitter Patter got all 6 correct. At this point in the game Pitter Patter was in first place with a total of 19 points with Boys Who Cry just behind them with 18 points. Ballz were in third with 13 points now.

The theme for Round 4 this week was Guess Where. Boys Who Cry got eager for the 10 points and placed their answer in as The Alamo, unfortunately this was incorrect and cost them a point. Ballz was confident in their answer of Ford Theatre after our second clue, however this was also incorrect and cost their team a point as well. After our third clue which stated that Scooter and National Treasure had key scenes that occurred in this place Pitter Patter was able to correctly guess our mystery location as Independence Hall earning their team an additional 6 points!

In Round 5 our teams were asked to find the connecting factor in all of the answers for the first 9 questions in order to answer question 10. Boys Who Cry and Pitter Patter were able to identify the commonality as being card games, while Ballz were close in their answer of gambling, it was unfortunately not correct. By now Pitter Patter was in a solid lead with 35 points, Boys Who Cry in second with 25 points, and Ballz in third with 17 points.

Round 6 got rather saucy as our teams had to match each sauce to the country in which it originated. Boys Who Cry did the best this round earning 8 extra points for their team, bringing them just 3 points away from Pitter Patter.

Our final round asked the teams to name 10 of the most densely populated U.S. states as of August 2019. Ballz chose to play their Double or Nothing in this round and after missing 3 of the answers did not earn any extra points for this round. Pitter Patter got 5 of the 10 correct. Boys Who Cry only missed one of the answers giving their team 9 total points!

After including points for teams who returned their pens, in a last minute twist of events Boys Who Cry stole first place with a total of 44 points! Pitter Patter fell to second with 41 points. And Ballz maintained their solid hold of third place finishing the game with 24 points.

Congrats to all our teams last night! Join us again next Wednesday evening for trivia and karaoke at College Bar & Grill!

Wednesday night at College Bar & Grill 4 teams came to make their claim to trivia fame. Our four team in cluded Mario Mario & Luigi Mario, Boom Dynamite!, Pitter Patter, and Average Bro's (who did join us a bit later on in the game).

In our General Knowledge Round 1 the most amount of points earned was 3 to Pitter Patter. The scores at the start of the game after adding points for team numbers were Mario Mario & Luigi Mario in third with 1 point, Boom Dynamite! in second with 3 points, and Pitter Patter in first place with 5 points.

In Round 2 our teams were asked to identify the Netflix originals based on it's title card images. The majority of our teams did fairly well this round. Boom Dynamite! chose to play their Double or Nothing in this round and were able to earn 12 additional points for their team!

The theme for Round 3 focused on arcade games! Pitter Patter and Mario Mario & Luigi Mario each got four questions correct, the same 4 questions actually! By this point in the game Boom Dynamite! had stolen first place with 17 points while Pitter Patter followed closely behind with a total of 15 points while Mario Mario & Luigi Mario had a total of 7 points.

Our theme for Round 4 this week was Guess Who? The teams were struggling for a moment during this round and took a few clues before they were able to get it! Pitter Patter were able to get it after our fourth clue, giving their team an extra 2 points. Boom Dynamite! was able to figure it out by our final clue earning 2 points for their team. Unfortunately, Mario Mario & Luigi Mario did not turn in an answer sheet for this round so they did not earn or lose any points. The mystery man we were looking for this week was Tiger Woods!

Round 5 is our Find the Connection round. Pitter Patter and Boom Dynamite! were the only teams able to identify "chess" as our commonality! In a fun turn of events, by this point Pitter Patter and Boom Dynamite! had become tied for first place each with a total of 26 points! In second was Mario Mario & Luigi Mario with 13 points. And Average Bros had finally joined us during this round so they had a score of 4 points.

In Round 6 the teams were asked to match the movie title to the missing number associated with it. Pitter Patter had decided to play their Double or Nothing in this round and unfortunately missed a few of the questions, so they were not able to earn any more points for this round.

Our final challenge for Round 7 asked our teams to identify 10 of the 12 teams featured in the 2019 Final Four teams in the Women's World Cup, NCAA Men's Final Four, and the Stanley Cup Playoffs Final Four teams. In an attempt to catch up with our other 3 teams, Average Bros decided to use their Double or Nothing in this round. They would have been able to earn an additonal 20 points but unfortunately they did miss just one of the questions! Pitter Patter also only missed one of the teams!

Our final scores for the evening after including additional points for pens had Average Bros in fourth place with 9 points. In third was Mario Mario & Luigi Mario with 19 points. Second ended up being Boom Dynamite! with 35 points. And in first place was Pitter Patter with a total score of 37 points! Thank you for all the teams that played with us last night!
