Dog Haus has garnered critical acclaim and national attention for its signature all beef Haus Dogs and hand crafted proprietary Haus Sausages, as well as their 100% genetically tested, humanely raised Black Angus beef using no hormones and no antibiotics – never ever. All dogs, sausages and burgers are served on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls.  Open for lunch and dinner daily, guests can choose from signature, one-of-kind Haus creations or customize their own from a wide array of unique toppings.

Founded by partners Hagop Giragossian, Quasim Riaz and Andre Vener, three friends who share a passion for creativity, quality and commitment to community, the first Dog Haus opened in Pasadena, California in 2010.

Throwback Thursdays

 

We had another epic night over at Doghaus with a few of our veterans coming back into play this week. Early in the first round we had the Skeptics starting off strong with 8 points getting a perfect round but the game only just begun. In round 2 Orange is the New Gator came up big taking the lead 15 to 14 over the Skeptics. They continued to hold the lead in Round 3 although we had 4 different teams including Black Dragon Society, and the Twenty-Two's along with Orange is the New Gator and the Skeptics scoring a perfect round in the Theme Round and doubling up their points. Everyone was able to get the Guess Who with America's Mother, Oprah, that is everybody except for Vonima. However in the next Round it was Black Dragon Society that dominated in Finding the Connection with a perfect score putting them in second place, and the Skeptics in third. Orange is the New Gator however didn't stumble as they closed out the round becoming our Royal Family of Trivia, one of the veteran teams at this great location.

The Streets are Buzzing

An amazing turn out for the second week in a row with over ten teams playing this time. Which can only means the word has been spreading around town about the energy popping off over at Doghaus. We had some new faces, some walk ins and some returning teams from last week. It wasn't clear who was going to win with one captivating round right after the next but one thing was for certain, the energy was through the roof. In the first round we had Weinerschnitzel is Coming maximizing every point hey could with a total of 14 points and maintaining first place for majority of the game. Then we had our former champs Orange is the New Gator going back and forth with a few teams for second place and to close in the gap on Weinerschnitzel. One of the teams involved in this battle was our second place from last week The Ghoulies trying to win amongst the top three for last weeks disappointing loss where they looked like they were going to place first but ended up falling out of the rankings. It looked like Weinerschnitzel had 1st place locked that is until it came own to the final round; because in round 6 Weinerschnitzel had a staggering 57 points to second places, The Ghoulies, 48. The heartbreak of the night, was when both 1st place and 2nd place had a perfect round 7 but the difference here was The Ghoulies doubling up their points taking a risk that paid off and edged them by one point and taking first place being crowned our King and Queen of Trivia. A heartbreak for some but poetic justice for the Ghoulies coming back the week after a devastating loss to claim the thrown as this weeks Royal Couple.

FULL HOUSE

 

What a turn out we had tonight, the venue was filled with teams looking to score some delicious prizes over at Dog Haus. We had a record breaking turn out with 10 teams showing p to play and 37 players not only that but 8 out of these teams were registered Team Members with King Trivia. Just goes to show that word of mouth and little bit of time goes along way! In the first round we had a 4 way tie with 7 points a piece going to NERDS, Shark Week, Return of The Mack, and Summer of 64. But that slowly dwindled down when The Ghoulies and Return of the Mack became the front runners after Round 2. The Ghoulies seemed to promising victors holding the 1st place position for majority of the game but as we all know itsnot how you start its how you finish. After a few teams doubled up in some key rounds and going back and forth between a few positions we had Summer of 64 in third place , Super Hot Wieners in 2nd place and it was only poetic justice that our Kings of Trivia were our former regular returning Champs winning the Jackpot was the Skeptics!!
