QUIZ RECAP

It was a gorgeous evening on a late summer evening in Seattle, but a major part of the Ravenna neighborhood was not out enjoying the sun. No, instead they were inside the Ravenna Brewing Company having some great beers and engaging in another wonderful evening of trivia.

The game kicked off with a flourish as two teams were able to garner x2 points on the back of a perfect, and double or nothing-ed, first round. This would go on to propel these teams into the top two slots, though it was not as easy a victory as it seems on the surface. The second round was much of the same,  as this high scoring affair featured all teams getting at least 5 points. Things looked as though they would separate but Your Mom was able to pull a double or nothing up and within a point of the lead.

Unfortunately for your dad, Your Mom was unable to finish as they got a little cocky in the 6th round and couldn't get up to the 10 points needed for the double or nothing they attempted. Your Mom finished in a distant 5th place, leaving frusterated and hungry to reedeem themselves next time.

Circle Of Jerks was able to use a few double or nothing wins to win the game with a solid 53 points. Nipping at their heels like a bunch of rabid dogs was An Evening with Maggie and Ted Cruz Jerked It who finished with 50 and 49 points respectively.

Overall it was a lively evening that was a whole lotta fun. I expect more of the same next week, and I expect to see you all here at Ravenna!

QUIZ RECAP

It was a smoke filled evening in Seattle as the forest fires of Canada raged on. But that did not squelch the desires of trivia patrons on this Tuesday evening at Ravenna.

In first place in a somewhat low scoring affair it was Canada Needs to Stop Burning American Flags with 43 points. Even that low (for a winning score) point total was enough to blow out the rest of the teams as their next closest competitor, You're a Quizard Harry, finished with a mere 32 points. It was a bit of a battle for 2nd as Dat Ash Doe was able to finish only a point off that pace with 31 points.

Overall it was another good night, with some tougher than usual questions. That being said everyone had a blast and it was another great night for trivia at Ravenna. Join us next time for more of the same!

QUIZ RECAP

That evening was straight up electiric. Never before had I seen a crowd that was so ravenous for trivia at Ravenna Brew Co. It was a packed house, so packed that some teams even had to sit outside to get a piece of the pie that was King Trivia @ Ravenna on a Tuesday Night.

In what slowly, but surely became a blowout it was Circle Jerks in a win that was both impressive, and not as big as it should have been. In the second round there was a intra-team argument among the 'Jerks.' One faction believed that they had superior intellect and should go for 'Double or Nothing.' The other side was vehemently against this, they wanted to go with some sure points in what was a budding lead. In the end the Hot Seat was firmly situated behind the rear's of the conservatives. But justice was had as the team did get all answers correct and would have taken a commanding lead early on in this contest. Luckily for the Conservative group there was no permanent damage as the Circle of Jerks was able to win in the end.

Not to be outdone in terms of entertainment, the second place battle was a sight to be seen. Two teams jockeyed for position in That's So Raven-na and Hurricane Harvey Refugees (for real!). The score was not always like this. Neither Hurricane Harvey Refugees nor That's So Raven-na were in competition for second, they were barely in the picture for forth! It was on the back of a couple game breaking double or nothing successes that propelled these teams in their current positions in our narrative. As round seven came to a close, thing were all knotted up at 44 points apiece. It all came down to one final question, the TIE BREAKING QUESTION. How long is Beyonce's Single 'Single Ladies' in seconds? With an answer of 193 seconds it was Hurricane Harvey that was able to best their combatant with a guess of 210 points.

Not to fear! All teams had a great night and enjoyed some quality beer, food and music courtesy of Ravenna Brewing Comapany, Nacho Average Food Truck and Myself. Join us in the fun next week as the Circle of Jerks try to defend their title on what surely will become another great night of King Trivia at Ravenna Bewing Company.
