Where else can you exercise your knowledge about bird migration, television creators, and Nobel Prize winners on a Thursday night other than at King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing?! Our weekly game contained all that and more as nine teams competed for glory across seven rounds of high-stakes trivia. While it was still anyone's game up to the end, the trivia regulars comprising Burger Of The Day went head-to-head with the local duo Red Bruins, the two teams switching spots repeatedly at the top of the leaderboard by a 1-2 point margin at the end of each round. In the end, Red Bruins successfully fended off Burger Of The Day to cinch the second-place spot...but it was Shohei Otani's Ill Fitting Suit that ran away with first place, scoring a whopping 58 points. Congrats to our top three teams, who each received beer coupons worth $5 off one beer at Shadow Grove Brewing! We asked questions about all that and more at this week's King Trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing! Ten fiercely-competitive teams went head-to-head over seven rounds of a wide range of topics for a chance to score coupons worth $5 off one beer at Shadow Grove. The impressive intellect on display for Cosmic Gumbo, a one-man team, was enough for him to nail third place and score two beer coupons all to himself. That left pub trivia regulars Dingerton and Small Dog In A Little Tote vying for the top spot, and while Dingerton's impressive 60-point run was enough to comfortably grab second place, Small Dog In A Little Tote showed us the power of hitting that Double or Nothing box repeatedly, successfully doubling their point totals in four rounds, surging to first place with 81 points, and heading home with 5 coupons. King Trivia returned to the fine folks over at Shadow Grove Brewing on Thursday for another edition of good ol' fashioned quizzin'! Teams competed for glory over seven rounds of trivia that tested their knowledge of comedians, gold, and official state sports. Our top three teams surged ahead early with continuous, successful uses of Double or Nothing, but it was still anyone's game as we went into our final round about movie theater fare. In the end, First Round Draft Bitch also scored first with an outstanding 65 points, clinching 5 coupons worth $5 off one draft beer each! Crime Brûlée (which sounds mischeviously delicious) nabbed our second place spot, scoring 3 beer coupons for the evening. And Dingerton beat out Burger Of The Day by one point to crown themselves our third place champs, steeply discounting their entire bar tab with 2 coupons! Missed out? Fear not! We're back again next Thursday at 7:30PM for more incredible trivia at Shadow Grove Brewing.
