The game was awesome! The 3 teams were really into the game and I had a great time hosting.

Despite the rain, two solid teams showed up to hunker down and have a cozy night in with some pizza, some brews, and yours truly. AK-47 showed up specifically for trivia and didn't even eat first, so nothing stood in their way of a great game!

Our two teams were neck and neck for the first few rounds, with AK-47 knowing more general trivia, but A & A being able to identify more of those 80s toys that went on screens big and small. Jada Pinkett Smith proved hard to figure out, but Texas proved to be the sticking point in round 5 with an almost perfect round for AK-47 (darn you, George Bush!). They furthered their lead with a flawless Double or Nothing with their sports knowledge, cementing them in first place.

Thanks for a great night, you four! It was a lot of fun and the thing I think we all walked away with was...that the four of you needed to go home and watch The Breakfast Club.

Starting next week, Michelle will be taking over as the new regular Quizmaster, so give her a warm welcome! It's been real, Pizza Press, but don't you forget about me. (insert fistpump)

QUIZ RECAP

Another fun trivia night at Pizza Press filled with expended brain cells, friendly competition, and help from the kiddos! What started as a three-way contest whittled down to two when team Bonnie was called away by the kids after a couple rounds. Glad we could give you a little bit of a break, Bonnie!

The first few rounds were a great back and forth between The Wrastlers and Quizlamics, with both teams knowing their cartoon food characters and enough "Hulks" and "Toros" to keep them close. The Quizlamics were definitely excited to play, as there were occasional blurting out of answers that was usually followed by some quick shushing ("Brooke Hogan!" and "Igneous!" were my favorites).

However, by being able to make the connection between a certain young actress and Steven Spielberg, The Wrastlers began to build a lead that could not be caught up with. Curse you, Drew Barrymore...

So The Wrastlers went home with a $30 gift card as our winners for the night, with the Quizlamics taking second and a $20 gift card. Shout out to our runners up, who were visiting from Fresno and grabbing a bite to eat after a long day at Knott's Berry Farm and the Pirates Dinner Adventure. Glad we could provide a solid end to your day.
