What. A. Night.

Enough kind words cannot be expressed towards all of our teams tonight who were more than patient as we attempted to handle all of the technical difficulties that seemingly appeared out of nowhere. You were all incredibly gracious with your time and honestly, as exhausting as it was to walk around and read the same questions over and over again, it was a nice bit of intimate trivia as I got to know some teams better and spend a little time one on one and watch how your minds worked as you tried to answer the questions. Major shout-outs to the staff at Barney's for all of their help in trying to rig up various equipment tonight - we didn't manage to get any of it working but it's always nice to be supported and feel like part of a team and I can't thank them enough for jumping in there and focusing so much of their time on making the game happen tonight while they still had an entire restaurant/bar to tend to. Much appreciated - and hopefully we'll be back up and running smoothly next week!

"I think the bar has karaoke on another night. That is not tonight."

"I really like karaoke."

"Trivia is also pretty fun... do you want to play?"

"If I win, can I sing karaoke?"

Luckily for all of us, I knew after round one that I wasn't about to regret this deal. Thank you, "Mr Potato Head" and your definitely-not-a-service-dog cocker spaniel for being absolutely terrible at answering questions.

Same time, same place, same quizmaster, new year.

Our teams returned from a holiday break of present opening, champagne popping and overeating to take on questions about smiles, Glee actors, and just how many children came out of Melania's hoo-ha. New Years Resolutions were both fulfilled and dismissed tonight as players struggled to land in the top three spots - finding themselves thwarted by their lack of Broadway and ancient Egyptian knowledge. Many knew that blue meth was the key to connecting in Round 5 but Samoan born NFL players appeared to be a blindspot for many (no, his name is not Aaron Paul or Saul Goodman or Walter White but thanks for playing). In the end, three teams came away with some more little goodies from Santa while the rest vowed to return and reclaim the glory from those ho ho hos.
