About Big Time Brewery & Alehouse

Big Time Brewery opened its doors in December 8th, 1988 and we have been brewing and serving craft beer ever since. We are Seattle's original brew pub. A classic American Alehouse located in an brick building with high ceilings and lots of stained wood. The pub has an antique bar.

Big Time usually has at least 12 beers on tap, plus a featured cask-conditioned "real ale" on the hand pump. Our standard brews are: Scarlet Fire IPA, Atlas Amber Ale and Coal Creek Porter which are on tap at all times. The other three taps and the cask conditioned pump rotate from week to week with some of the many specialty beers we produce over the year.

The brewery is a 14 barrel JV Northwest system consisting of a gas fired brew kettle, an infusion mash tun with mixer, a hot liquor back, a wort cooler, (5) 14 barrel fermenters, a bright beer tank, and (20) 7 bbl serving tanks.

The kitchen features pizza, sandwiches, burgers, salads and tasty snacks. We serve generous portions at very reasonable prices. Food is available until 11:00pm.

Great night back! We decided with only three teams that the first place team would get the ENTIRE prize, and not split it it between first and second. So our winners went home with $60!! I had fun swapping opinions about Buffy the Vampire Slayer and reminiscing about Avatar: The Last Airbender during the television finale round. Thanks for a great night!!

The night cool, the air was crisp, and the teams were hopping. Returning from last week's game was the E-Team, Large Mouth Ass, and Harrison Chin, two of which changed their name.

The E-Team started off slow enough in the first three roads but then surged ahead until the final round. Large Mouth Ass started strong and maintained that through the later rounds until the final round where they suffered, like everyone else, though they had the best score for the round. One of their team members asked, "Who buys their gum on Amazon?!" Harrison Chin took off running hard and show potential but then stumbled horrifically. They course-corrected and kept pushing, but ultimately didn't makeup enough to beat the E-Team.

What a great group of players we had on this cold Seattle night! While the temperatures outside may have been in the high 20s and low 30s, everyone last night was hot, hot, hot. The questions were super challenging tonight but the players did well, their confidence building as the night went on.
