About Butcher's Dog

We have 10 large HDTVs and show up to 5 different events on them (we love sports and hope you join us for all the great sports events coming up: UFC, NBA, NHL, Formula 1 Grand Prix, Rugby Word Cup, NASCAR races, Champions League, MLB World Series, etc.).

We have a beautiful patio with space heaters.

We pour great beers and wines, with 18 beers on tap, as well as crafted cocktails.

We have a great Happy Hour menu daily from 3pm to 7pm and ALL NIGHT on Mondays.

During these times $4 & $5  draft beers, $6 house cocktails, $4 well drinks and our selected house wines are $6 a glass.

Butcher's Dog remains THE best place for trivia in the entire west side of LA!  I got a new speaker system for this week's game, so everyone could hear me! Yay!

Competition was fierce this week, but The Killerwatts managed to eke out a win, while Winter is Here beat out Chic-fil-Atio in a tie-breaker question to take second place! Such drama! So excite!

WHOA!  A huge night of trivia this week at Butcher's Dog! I dont' know if it was a record, but if not, it was close, as 19 teams competed for mental supremacy.  The night provided respite from the brutal SoCal winter (temps as low as 50 degrees!  Brrrr...), but some people were still playing outside on the heated patio!

This quizmaster offed one thing up, by leaving all his printouts on the kitchen table at home, so we were forced to skip the handout rounds, but we made up for it with a cool creativity-based drink round, where I asked each team to predict the headlines following this weekend's Oscar Awards show.  The winners?  "RUSSIAN TAMPERING SUSPECTED IN EMOJI MOVIE BEST PICTURE WIN"  Haha, love it!

Jessica's Team won their second week in a row, putting a nice big target on their back for next week! JC's Bacon Dream won a THREE WAY TIE to take second place, and even then, fourth place was only one point behind them.  SUCH DRAMA!

Another great night of trivia at Butcher's Dog!  Quizzers braved the frigid LA winder temperatures (almost reached 50 degrees!) to pit their mental might against other teams.

We had time for a completely luck-based drinking round, where I paired off representatives of each team and had them draw playing cards for a bracketed game of WAR!  The lesson was: don't look at your card before you're supposed to or the quizmaster'll make you draw a new one.  The second lesson was: You'll probably win anyway.  Hey, if fate says you get free beer, you get free beer!

Team Jessica grabbed the top spot, while last week's champs, The Trivia King's Speech won a tie-breaker question about 80s movies to take second!
