QUIZ RECAP

It seemed like old times as long time Quiz Master and birthday boy, Peter Naumann, returned tonight to host 10 teams that battled not only for trivia supremacy but also for gift cards from Simi Valley's #1 place for chips and salsa, Chuy's.

Team Trainwreck took home first place tonight with a solid 50 points. Needing a final tie breaking question, Team Mattison pulled ahead to finish in second over team Box Full Of Puppies who took third.

Peter's choice for the drinking round was to play a quick game of "Joking Hazard," which required players to "finish" the three panel comic as shown. Pictured above is Team All By Myself's winning entry "I still love Taco Bell."

I think I speak on behalf of all of us when I say, "Ew."

QUIZ RECAP

There was a good chance that the buzz tonight at Chuy's was higher than Cornelius* could possibly ever fathom...

...for Cornelius was an unhappily married, alcoholic, traveling shoe salesman, who never knew what delights trivia and fajitas could bring.

Had Cornelius attended tonight's festivities, he would have bore witness to a battle between seven teams and reveled along with "To A Certain Extent" and their well earned victory. He would have woofed along with the dog pound known as "Am Bad Ass Adors" who finished in second place.

Certainly Cornelius would have been on the edge of his bar stool when the game needed a tie breaking question to determine the third place finish. But instead of witnessing "The Hunchback of The Back Corner" win that bonus point, he most likely was somewhere reeking of rum, stacking old shoe boxes, and dreaming he was sunning in the sands of Pismo Beach.

Poor Cornelius. Poor, poor Cornelius.

*Hey! Tonight we all learned Cornelius was Tennessee Williams' Father!

While the scores were low last night at Chuy's, the energy was up as five teams battled for trivia supremacy.  Team Chronicles took home a one-point victory over We Shoulda Doubled, and rounding out the top three was Team Booty Call.  Good luck next week teams!
