About Hyperion Public - Silver Lake

We are your local neighborhood restaurant and bar where everyone is welcome hence the word "Public" in our name. Our restaurant has a rough luxe decor serving quality food and cocktails, a mix of craft and traditional beers, along with a good selection of wines, in a communal atmosphere. Hidden in the back of the restaurant is our upstairs bar and lounge also serving food and cocktails, that has a jukebox, dartboard, piano, mic, and TVs for sports (Sunday NFL Ticket).

Another Monday night come and gone, another trivia extravaganza at Hyperion Public. The prophetically named Halloween is Coming just nearly edged out rivals Savvy B by winning a tie-breaker about baseball, a sport neither team knew anything about. How many hits did all-time great Pete Rose have? Well certainly more than the 137 or 528 that either team guessed, but one of them was closer so there you have it. The proud members of the Von Trapp Twins took the drinking round, purely by chance as their name was selected randomly to also break a tie. It's like the entire bar conspired together to win as much as possible, thinking me a softie who would just give gift cards and drinks out to everyone. Look, if I had it my way you'd all drink for free, but that's why I'm hosting trivia and not the bar.

Another Monday, another night of trivia at Hyperion Public. Relative newcomers Tom Cruise's Daddy Issues finally took home their first gold after trying hard for so many weeks. They were closely followed up by The Tundersons, who shot to second after an amazing round 6 double. But the real heroes of the night were Showponies, who had not been in quite some time. Their specialty is the drinking round, and they showed in force what they are capable of. They crushed the competition and took home the coveted alcohol trophy. What more could a group of 30-somethings ask for?
