Holy macaroni, what a turn out!  17 teams  came out to play at Hyperion Public, the most I've ever seen at our humble trivia nights.  17 teams battled it out for the top prize, but you know who emerged the winner?  Despite 16 teams standing in their way, despite 16 teams attempting to claw them down and tear them away at every turn, despite 16 teams fighting tooth and nail and to win, you know who placed first?

Little. Lebowski's. Urban. Achievers.

That's right, folks.  The perennial favorites still rose to the top in the face of extreme adversity.  They are the absolute real deal when it comes to trivia - no fakes, phonies, or free passes.  Every week this team soars high above the competition, effortlessly cinching a victory, another notch on the title belt.  Their faces belong on Mount Rushmore!  If we had a trivia Hall of Fame, I'd nominate them immediately for induction, without question.  Ahh, but I could wax poetic about Lebowskis forever...

What a crazy night of trivia!  Little Lebowski's once again take home the gold, and to add insult to injury, they also clinched the drinking round!  They preside over their realm like 17th century kings and queens.  The question is, who would depose them?

You can't hurry love, you just have to wait.  Love don't come easy, it's a game of give and take.

Even though Phil Collins was talking about love, he very well could have been speaking about nailing a first place win at trivia.  And Doug! has been waiting long enough: tonight was their first first.  And 6 Dope Queens had their first second, along with stealing the drinking round out from under two randos at the bar. A special shout-out needs to go to Lawrence from Tonto's Friend.  He played the entire night by himself and performed admirably.  He may have gotten a hint or two from the waitstaff, but in the face of unmistakable odds he screwed his courage to the sticking place and ventured forth into the unknown!  Cheers to you Lawrence!
