In a city known more for its glitz than its grit, Angel City Brewery is proud to rough things up a bit and work beneath the shiny surface. Our home in the Los Angeles Arts District is both brewery and canvas, the center of a revival for the city's artists, musicians, hustlers, and craftspeople. It's an LA that's as ambitious as it is diverse & and our beer is no exception.
Although it's ALWAYS King Trivia tonight was apparently also HOT trivia. with the Beer Hall at angel city clocking in at a piping hot 99 degrees. but we opened the doors and got some industrial fans going and everything cooled off by round 3 or 4.
The Game was QUITE the upset. the top three teams hadn't placed in a single round until round 6 and even then only on team looked poised to clench victory. but as always happens a few well placed double or nothings and we see some teams soaring to new heights, and fortunately for them the top three teams at the time doubled down on the final round and incorrectly put the Netherlands. costing them the game!

Angel City welcomed its biggest crowd ever tonight, breaking triple-digit attendees for the first time! Of course, there can only be one champion, and this hard-won victory tastes all the more sweet to victors I Smart in Your General Direction. Congratulations! Everyone else will remain haunted by the fact that Kansas City is somehow not the capital of Kansas.

It was a beautiful summer night at ACB, with some beautiful summer light streaming in the windows, reminding us that the night is young, and we are young, and there's nowhere we'd rather be. Congratulations to Tired & Stupid on a well-earned win! (Rumor has it they will be taking a hiatus following this victory, which means we will dearly miss these friends, but we might have a better shot at victory with them out of the picture...)
And an honorable mention must be given to Oedipus and the Mofos for clawing their way back to second place after a failed round 3 double.
