In a city known more for its glitz than its grit, Angel City Brewery is proud to rough things up a bit and work beneath the shiny surface. Our home in the Los Angeles Arts District is both brewery and canvas, the center of a revival for the city's artists, musicians, hustlers, and craftspeople. It's an LA that's as ambitious as it is diverse & and our beer is no exception.
Regular host Lynn was away this week, but I was happy to jump in at my hold playing and scorekeeping grounds and see some old friends and some of the strongest teams in LA! Hopefully everyone was happy to see me too.
It was a fun game with lots of teams, a couple birthdays, and a late round series of double-or-nothings that really made things interesting, but Fartin' Van Buren managed to pull off and impressive win by only a few points to bring home first place!
It was also a really strong showing from Smart Smart Smart and Very Smart, who were true to their names all night long!

At Angel City Brewery, the rule is you can have as many players on your teams as you'd like, but if you have more than 9 people on your team, you can't win first. The highest you can place is 2nd.
Due to this rule, Pill Poppers, will 11 persons on their team, had the highest score but came in 2nd. Edgar Allen Hoees!!! was therefore the winner with only a four woman team! And Fartin' Van Buren finally got a Martin Van Buren question correct 😉
