We played upstairs in the mezzanine! Didn't even know it existed until tonight. It's a small attic-like space but just enough room for five teams. Actually enjoyed the locale- felt like VIP's. It was so darn cold outside again and drizzly near start time. It was really rather nice to be heard easily and have my procured music easily heard. 
It was a topsy turvy kind of evening with a two new teams taking the top two spots. Third was once again secured by Shellie Jamtroyd, with second being taken by FBC FBC and Fear of Flying taking the top spot AND the drinking round. This was the last trivia of the year here so I had to do something holiday themed for the drinking round. I asked the teams to quote Ralphie's line about his desired BB gun and the team who got as closely as possible won. Out of 11  words (Fisher Red Ryder carbine action 200 shot range model air rifle), Fear of Flying got 5 words correct. Nicely done, they were certainly *guilty* of dominating  😉

Set up my station in the psychedelic bus! It's cold enough that the patio wasn't even open. We played in the main room and had a lot to contend with: pool table and shuffleboard, many patrons, music. But the digital game format proved effective since it wasn't essential to hear the quizmaster (except for the drinking round) and I did my usual walk arounds of announcing when there was a minute left for each round. It was You Thought We Smelled Bad on the Outside that was victorious tonight, with Pasadena Peeps taking second and Shellie Jamtroyd securing third place. I had a physical challenge type drinking round planned, thinking we would be playing outside in the patio per usual, so had to scramble and used "If you were an alien, why would you invade Earth?" Picked my favorite- congrats to Gabagools for well thought out and practical reasons.
Maybe we play back in the basement next week?
