QUIZ RECAP

Welp, it's only been since March of 2020 that we last met, in the dungeon-like bowels (basement) of Barney's Beanery. What even is a beanery?

We played outside in the alley portion of the patio.  Technically this is the same alley that the outdoor scenes of Sheldon yelling out his window were filmed. The alley is even called Big Bang Theory Way. I watched through season five so this is actually pretty exciting for me.  

The digital scoring platform for the game threw me off a little, but with repeat endeavors surely it will be more smooth.  There are some things I like about it.

Despite having a raving person adjacent to my end of the alley (he's actually pretty good with bongos), the game went well.  It was a nice turnout after such a long break. Pasadena Peeps held the lead for about half the game but in the end it was Drunk in Public who prevailed, and FAJAB taking third, just a mere point ahead of Purple Monkey Dishwasher.  

For the drinking round, they sent a rep up from each team and crumpled a legal sized paper to toss into one of the planters .  Only one team made it- grats to Intravenus de Milo.  I really need to remember to take a pic of the drinking round.

QUIZ RECAP

Well, we ran a short game for the folks who came out tonight. Might as well try to have a bit of fun I. These trying times, no? Pasadena Peeps list out by just one point to 4's a Crowd.

This was a particularly fun night of trivia! It definitely had something to do with my selection of music, I was very happy with it- and that of course has to do with the questions. It worked out well, I heard my buddy say, "I'm loving this playlist."

The drinking round was a big hit. I took a picture of my 80's tee shirt that I was wearing and had them name off as many characters as possible in the 0 (zero) of the "80's" (pictured). Second Cousins and Pasadena Peeps tied with 18 each, so to break the tie, I had them guess the release date of the movie Big (also pictured at the top of the zero!) The Peeps prevailed, and also took second place for the night. Third was secured by We Should Be in Bed, and the winners of a very tight game were We Drink and We Know Things. Cheers!
