About Paragon

Allen Adams was born and raised in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley and has over twenty years of experience in the restaurant, nightclub and bar business. Allen cut his teeth managing the The Shark Club in downtown LA. While working at the Shark Club, Allen learned the importance of treating customers in such a way that garnered incredible loyalty and a multitude of return clientele. Allen moved on to be the bar manager of the Seafood Broiler and Milano’s Italian kitchen. Allen always strived to create a personable environment where the customer would feel comfortable and want to be a part of. He always puts the customer’s needs first and foremost. Allen decided after years of being in the business to venture out and open the Paragon Bar and Grill. Along with partner “CJ” Willis, their goal was to create a place in Northridge that would give the feel of going to Hollywood or Downtown, without the long drive or potential pretentiousness.

Everything we do here at Paragon Bar and Grill is prepared fresh, from our handmade cocktails, to our snacks and all of our food. Our menu was created by executive chef Greg Schroeppel. Greg has worked with Wolfgang Puck and has done a great job putting a menu together for you. Our goal is to provide the best service, drink and food in the Valley.

Teams not doubling when they should... teams doubling when they shouldn't... Tonight's game was a roller-coaster ride!

The Three Amigos jumped out to an early lead and kept it up, scoring successful doubles in four out of seven rounds!

Thugs almost fell out of the top 3 with a low score in Guess Who and a failed double in Find the Connection, but their high scores at the start and a successful double in round six kept them in the game.

Shrek was well behind with a low score in round 3, a wrong answer in Guess Who, and a failed double in round 6, but a successful double in the final round earned them 3rd place, just a couple of points ahead of Nothing.

And the Three Amigos score of 88 is now the highest score I've seen as a Quiz Master, barely edging out the old record of 87!

Paragon will be closed Thanksgiving Day, so enjoy the holiday, and I'll see you all in two weeks!

Oscar and Hogwarts took the early lead with successful doubles right out of the gate. A correct 10-point guess in the Guess Who round brought the Kooples up, and Wad's 8-point guess coupled with a high score in round 5 brought them into the lead pack.

Almost every team doubled in round 6, but one incorrect answer pulled the Kooples out of the leaders. As you can see, single points separated the leaders!

Shrek and Oscar jumped out to an early lead with doubles in round 2, but Oscar increased their lead with a double in round 5. With Jeff's successful double in round 6, it looked like it would be Oscar or Jeff on top and either Shrek or the Drunkies (who also doubled in round 6) in third.

But Shrek didn't go down without a fight. A perfect score in round 6 followed by a successful double in the final round drove them right to the top spot! Great game, everyone!
