QUIZ RECAP

A chilly Thanksgiving Eve on the enclosed patio due to the Pandemic Purple Tier but Recess Room to the rescue with heat lamps plus yours truly is a vigilant forever Mom with extra serape blankets for guests. We had an awesome turn out of 19 players plus all the tables filled as non players wanted to be near to enjoy the banter. Two returning team with excited newbies.

Seven rounds of recall from movies, geography, history and more tonight. In Round 1 we learned the Hawaiian saying for pineapple. In Round 2 the picture round we tested our Thanksgiving movie titles memory. Round 3 The Monument Valley challenge with a few challenges to remember. Round 4 Guess What was a tough place to figure out. Round 5 Find The Connection gave us the real name of Twiggy! Round 6 handout of 'The Last Word' faired well with teams for their literary recall. Finally with Round 7 the geography challenges of knowing the African Coast.

QUIZ RECAP

We are back on the lovely stylish enclosed patio with excellent heat lamps.. Seriously, we will safely party on for our sanity and supporting our favorite local restaurant & bar. We had the faithful and fantastic Keit as The Highway Star solo team Rep (Jerry and Evelyn we miss you. I have extra serape blankets if you need to keep warm!) Three new teams tonight, in fact it was Parents night out date night for two young couples - Jess & Jay of the J&J team, plus Team Nhu's Brandon and Jaime. Our 4th team was Team Irish with Oregon Mom Katie with her son Seamus. It was their first visit to RR and trivia! Even though they started later, they came out winners in 2nd place. Those Double or Nothing rounds make a big difference - just ask Keit!

The seven rounds were an assortment of brain teasers. Round 2 the visual round with naming the state from the capital presented by a movie picture was tricky but some got it. Round 3 with UP IN THE AIR had some turbulence but with a little bit of hints all faired well. Round 4 with Guess Where? was a winner for all. Round 5 with Find the Connection was fun too. I was impressed with the Round 6 Handout and how well everyone did. You really paid attention in your Literature Classes at school! Finally with Round 7, we found the common ground of us all being avid TV viewers from 2003 forward to know these answers. We had so much fun that we forgot about the world for two hours and that is a successful trivia night!

The Recess Room has out many of their festive holiday decor. Our wonderful staff tonight was Roy, Q, Kendall, Taylor, Thomas, Jorge and the hard working kitchen crew. We are planning on having an Ugly Christmas sweater night in December for one of our Wednesday trivia nights with prizes.
