QUIZ RECAP

We had a fantastic night of trivia at 33 Taps, which is quickly becoming THE BEST place to spend your evenings on the East Side of Los Angeles!

Even though I forgot to bring a new supply of answer books, with Quizmaster-in-training Joseph by my side, we cut up some scratch paper for teams to use and the rest of the night went off without a hitch.

We had an unusually exciting luck and odds-based drinking round, where team representatives got a virtual dice roll from a random number generator, and had to guess whether the next number was higher or lower.  If they guessed wrong or the number tied, they were out! When we got to the final three, all three got out, so they all got another chance, and then the final two battled it out for several rounds before finally a victor emerged!

The big team of the night was Due in 3 Days, one of who's members really is due to give birth in 3 days!!  They only got 2 answers wrong the entire quiz, and even though they weren't bold enough to Double or Nothing a couple times, they easily walked (well, waddled) away with a victory! 🙂

QUIZ RECAP

What a great night of trivia at 33 Taps!!  Quizmaster-in-training Colleen shadowed me and even led a round of questions, and the extra time we had by her scoring assistance let us have an EPIC drink round that consisted of a Nerf target practice showdown!  Each team sent up their best sharpshooters to hit a target with one of the pair of Nerf guns I brought. After each round of attempts, the shooting line got moved further and further away from the target until only one team remained!

As for the quiz itself, the teams were in good form, with some being very bold and others being more conservative with their double-or-nothing wagers. And the drama went all the way to the very end! The top 3 teams were only ONE point away from each other, with a tie for second place!!  OMG!

Oprah's Favorite Things won the tie-breaker question to beat out The Male Rompers, but Girthers beat them both by only one little point to win the whole enchilada! Or in this case, a collapsible cooler filled with liquor!

QUIZ RECAP

Another great night of trivia at 33 Taps!! Fifteen teams battled for mental supremacy in a really tough quiz, but with the great food at a great venue, and now no rush to be done early because of the 10pm-midnight Happy Hour (!!), the game was energetic!

The Hive Mind snagged the top spot, with I'd Rather Be At Karaoke taking second and Unfreakable winning a soccer-themed tie-breaker question for third! (Fourth Harmony could have had a shot at that if only they'd had a team number...)
