We had a packed house tonight! Our contestants were quizzed on everything from coffee, to reality tv, to states with the most electoral college votes. Many teams pulled off a streak of nailing double or nothing points during the home stretch, making it a photo finish! Having a reality singing show on the bar tv's during the matching round may have contributed to the streak.
Our bonus game was a physical challenge, which is always a crowd favorite since it somehow gives hope that there's a better chance of winning, but bar games are a specific skill. Tonight's was a card throwing contest and it turned out unless you are a magician most do not have this specific skill. Shout out to HD Bomb for being the only team to throw their card clear across the bar, winning the beer!

Another night of trivia, another night of having a debate I never thought I would have. Is 8 Mile is considered a biopic? I mean sure, it was a movie telling a story similar to that of rapper Eminem. Yet another close one this week, needing a tiebreaker to settle third place. It might have been even closer if it not for stumping many teams with our final challenge of naming game pieces from the board game Stratego. Looking back, I really should have checked the bar's board game shelf to make sure it wasn't there!
Tonight's bonus round was inspired by the President's visit to Los Angeles. If you were to go to the airport and hold up a sign welcoming the Commander in Chief, what would it say? The entry winning the pitcher of beer was a simple dad joke that read, "Orange you happy you're here?"
