We sure had some challenging questions tonight, especially the connection round in which only one team was able to put the pieces together. Who would have thought corners, cheese, and a rug could all have the commonality of being things that you cut? I love a good wordplay connection round almost as much as I enjoy catching a whole team deep in thought trying to figure it out.
Even though it was Monday, we pretended it was Saturday during our SNL themed bonus round for the free beer. Teams took turns naming a present or former cast member until only one team was able to think of one that hadn't been said already. Come back next week and we'll see if we can follow this up with a Mad TV or In Living Color round!

It was great to see some new faces in what turned out to be a very close competition. Only three points separated first and third place as some Winnepeg Jets fans tried to put a curse on our first place team, but fell just short.
With a good number of teams tonight, we were able to orchestrate a good old fashioned rock, paper, scissor tournament. Free beer going to the player able to go undefeated throughout all of their opponents!

In all my years of hosting trivia, I have yet to see someone make a UFO out of a coaster and an olive! Team 12 Steppenwolf earned themselves a few drinks on the house for their creativity in our paper airplane contest.
