About Mollusk

Mollusk opened on Halloween 2015. We are South Lake Unions newest and oldest brewpub. We focus on the craft of brewing and cooking, utilizing modern technologies and improvements to the industry while honoring time-tested technique and methods.

 

Being in the Northwest means we have access to wonderful produce and use local sourced products as much as possible. Our menu changes with the seasons and we serve as much food from scratch as we can, whether it be charcuterie, bread or vinegar.

It was one of the best nights that Mollusk has ever had for trivia on a beautiful night in this South Lake Union Seattle brewery. Safety First, Then Teamwork proved that it pays to be safe in winning and only using double or nothing when they felt they were 100% sure they had all the answers correct.

Just of their pace was our second place team Quizzy McQuizface, who despite being the ilk of one of the biggest names in trivia history (McQuizface), was unable to truly challenge for the winning spot.

In what was a huge comeback after a few rough weeks the bartenders were able to not give out any free beer as they bested all of the non-winning teams. This is a large change after previous weeks where pitchers were being handed out like candy.

Both the bar and the tables were packed with hopeful trivia players all hoping to get enough questions correct to grab that elusive top prize. In the end it was the Little Darlings that came away with the top prize with a whopping 61 points, mostly thanks to a huge double or nothing round win.

Up there in the running with them were Fusion Friends and Rice Rising with 48 and 45 points. Overall the heated race was for 2nd and 3rd place in this one as 4 teams finished within 3 points of one another.

This was the most teams that Mollusk has had for a trivia night, and this is a number that we surely shall beat next week.

Join us then and get in the action for a great prize, and the chance to beat a bartender.

While the teams may not have had the highest scores, everyone was in the highest of spirits as Mollusk churned out another solid night for trivia. In the end  two member team, Better with Bacon, was was able to best the rest of the pack with a thin-cut 2 point win. Right behind them was the mainstay, The Druken Clams, who were able to stumble to 42 points. In Third was the upstart Rice Rising, which was not able to rise as fast as the morning sun, and finished a distant third.

For the first time in Mollusk history three teams were able to best the bartenders en route to a free pitcher of beer.

All in all it was another fun night at a great brewery. Join us next week as we promise to have higher scores, and higher levels of fun!
