About Mollusk

Mollusk opened on Halloween 2015. We are South Lake Unions newest and oldest brewpub. We focus on the craft of brewing and cooking, utilizing modern technologies and improvements to the industry while honoring time-tested technique and methods.

 

Being in the Northwest means we have access to wonderful produce and use local sourced products as much as possible. Our menu changes with the seasons and we serve as much food from scratch as we can, whether it be charcuterie, bread or vinegar.

Quizmaster Whitney was pinch hitting for Quizmaster Matt this week and hosted the show at Mollusk! "Round #4 Guess Who" was by far the most difficult round, with only a couple correct answers entered. The first clue stumped everyone: "10 Points: He was born in 1966 and raised in the Seattle area. He played basketball at Skagit Valley College until he was sidelined by an injury."

The answer: Jeffrey Dean Morgan

In an impressive showing, team Bartenders took third place and only had to hand out two pitchers of beer to the teams who bested them! Little Darlings safely took first place with a remarkable 47 points!

If you thought that baseball's opening night and a NCAA Basketball national championship would slow down King Trivia at Mollusk you were sorely mistaken. Venture was the eventual winner, venturing out of their comfort zone with a double or nothing that scored them nearly 1/2 of their points in what was a low scoring affair with tough questions.

Crows Wing and Egg in a Basket reached a boiling point and needed an extra frame to secure a second place finish. In the end Crows Wing were the early bird that got this worm, while Egg in a Basket did not have their kings men to put them back together after their fall to third place.

For the first time in a few weeks the bartenders were able to stave off all other teams in a tie for the lead, meaning they did not need to give out any beers to teams that bested them.

Despite everything going on outside of trivia, Mollusk remains a hot spot for people trying to find cold beer, good food, and rowdy trivia!

Both new teams and old came out to Mollusk for King Trivia on a beautiful Spring evening in the South Lake Union Neighborhood of Seattle. While some trivia regulars made up a large portion of the crowd, it was the trivia newbies that were able to come out on top.

My Mom Says I'm Special paced the field with 56 points. Chomping at their heels was another new team in Safety First, Then Teamwork, while a group of regulars in The Concerned Citizenry rounded out the top three with 55 and 52 points respectively.

If the warmer weather and sunny vibes cannot keep people out of Mollusk for trivia night, then I do not know what will. We had another enormously successful night, thanks in large part to the bartenders and waitstaff.

Please join us next week as Mollusk promises to have even more teams, and even more hot trivia action!
