About Mollusk

Mollusk opened on Halloween 2015. We are South Lake Unions newest and oldest brewpub. We focus on the craft of brewing and cooking, utilizing modern technologies and improvements to the industry while honoring time-tested technique and methods.

 

Being in the Northwest means we have access to wonderful produce and use local sourced products as much as possible. Our menu changes with the seasons and we serve as much food from scratch as we can, whether it be charcuterie, bread or vinegar.

In what was an action-packed, high scoring, fun trivia night here at Mollusk. For the first time since the idea's inception the Bartenders were beat, and pitchers were given to not only one team, but two. Both Dana's Sausage Party and As The Turn Tables were able to beat the Bartenders and get that delicious golden elixir known as beer.

Finishing in third place was The Drunken Clams, who were the proud recipient of a bottle opener.  It was a top heavy game with no other team finishing within 10 points of the leaders.

This was the best night that Mollusk has seen for King Trivia, and that was including some natural disasters in the Seattle area (snow). In what is quickly becoming a Monday Tradition, Mollusk Trivia is a hit!

In what became the best turnout that Mollusk has seen for trivia a tough round lead to Los Tejones winning the game. This was not without a scare, after round 7 Los Tejones was tied with Fire Gang for the lead, but Los Tejones was able to win the Tie Breaking question.

The bartenders remained undefeated as they scored 34 points to eke out a victory that meant they did not have to pay out any beer to the players.

A tough group of questions kept the score low, but teams like Nickels pickles and I drank too much gave it their all.

Regardless of score all teams had a great time and Monday at Mollusk continues to be an awesome trivia venue.

Mollusk had their biggest turnout yet, of a bunch of great turnouts, so far in this young breweries trivia history. The Bartenders were once again able to be the overall winner, and avoid dolling out a round of beer to all teams that finish above them in the final standings. Outside of the Bartenders Sausage Party for Dana was able to take the top prize with Betsy Devos and The For Clowns in close contention.

A few double or nothings that went wrong spelled disaster for our team from up north, Team Canada, or else they may have been able to take the American crown for trivia. I thought This Was Speed Dating had a strong showing after a week layoff to finish only a few points away from a winning position.

Perhaps next week will be the week that the Bartenders are finally vanquished and beers will be given. Only time will tell.
