ABOUT US

At Bank of Venice, you are dining in a 1905 landmark. Venice founder, Mr. Abbot Kinney, designed the building after the famous Saint Mark’s Square in Venice, Italy. For years, the pacific railcar dropped beach-goers just outside these doors to enjoy the sun, sand, waves— all that Venice has to offer.

Now, over a century later, we’ve memorialized this icon of Venice lifestyle in the form of a bar & grill, where all are welcome to drink bespoke cocktails, craft beer and California wine, while indulging in locally-sourced cuisine. So sit back, enjoy and don’t panic. It’s organic!

Love that double or nothing option, it made for Olympic drama at Bof V last night. Lots of both kinds, successful and disastrous. I'LL HOST THE OSCARS! was just unstoppable, the rest of the room found it hard to love their genius, but it was a real shootin' match for the second place prize. LORDZ & QWEENZ got strong mid-game and squeezed out the rest, newcomers POPE and GENTRIFICATION tied for 3rd - just outta the money. FIRST DATE, (and yes folks, it was not only a real first date but a "meet cute" for sure 😉 those meowers won the drinking round with the closest guess to our bartender Ky's birthday. May first everybody - put it in your calendars!

A light turnout nonetheless turned into a showdown between Quiz Khalifa and Lordz & Kweenz. Lordz & Kweenz successfully doubled in round one, and then carried that lead throughout the game as Quiz Khalifa slowly chipped away. A tough final round left the door open, but Quiz Khalifa couldn't capitalize, attempting unsuccessfully to double.

Team Palmer arrived a bit late and missed a round, but managed to win the drinking round by almost perfectly guessing the worldwide gross for 2006's The Santa Clause. Test Shoot got off to a strong start with a perfect first round, but unfortunately had to leave early.

Great game last night at the BofV! Many first timers to pub trivia, some unfortunate "bedtimes" sent some corporate types home early, but they're sure to be back for more. LIVIN' IN THE ORANGE had to get back to the "Orange" after round 4 - too bad as they were leading! LORDZ & QWEENZ duked it out all night, back and forth with MISSISSIPPI BURNING, eventually squeezing them out by ONE POINT!!! My favorite team of the night, and winner of the drinking round was RANDOM GIRL, who held her own all by herself as a team of one. At the end, everyone was trying to recruit her for next week. And a fond shout out to the "prettiest" team of the week, SHETLAND PONY PUTIN. Straight off the plane from Down Under, these Australians didn't know much about trivia but they sure know about beer. AND about being lovely sports. They're so pretty they don't even knooooowww they're pretty 😉
