QUIZ RECAP

King Trivia at Barney's Beanery began directly after the NBA FInals concluded, so my memory of the two may be a bit confused.

After four successful Double Or Nothings and a strong game inside the paint, 172 won the Larry O'Brien NBA Championship Trophy. ANTETOKOUNMPO's stellar fundamentals and knowledge of Olympic medalists delivered a robust second place finish. Butt Snorkelers came in third thanks to a perfect Handout Round and the magnificent coaching of Mike Budenholzer.

QUIZ RECAP

Look, I know the last sixteen months have not been kind to my waistline, but when several teams guessed that the largest moon in our solar system is my bum, I took the hint. I jogged a quarter-mile and did two push-ups. All is now good.

You know what else is good? King Trivia at Barney's Beanery! The rare Southern California humidity raised both the dew point and the quiz competition level. High-Fiving a Million Angels took four successful Double or Nothings to the bank. The bank was closed, so they came back and used them to win tonight's game.

After an evening of intense brain-to-brain combat, a strong showing in Round 7 allowed Quizzlypuffs to take second place by one point over Captain Mandrake's Booty.

QUIZ RECAP

It was Canada Day five days late during King Trivia at Barney's Beanery tonight. But "O Canada" turned into "Oh Dear, Canada" when not a single team was able to identify the greatest Canadian of all time, Tim Horton. A man so important, my hometown erected a statue in his honour. But I shall move on from this heartbreak.

Quizzlypuffs rode a successful Double Or Nothing in Round 1 all the way to an overall victory. Also, Tim Horton won the Stanley Cup four times with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Hail hydra! was the top scorer in two rounds, leading to a strong second place finish. Also, Tim Horton scored 518 points in 1446 NHL appearances.

Definitely Cheating knew every answer in Rounds 1 and 3, helping them grab third place after winning a tiebreaker against Covid Brain Fog. Also, Tim Horton is the only NHL player to have two different retired sweater numbers.
