QUIZ RECAP

Well, it's the day after Wednesday and you know what that means. It's Thursday? No. Well, yes but also it's time for the weekly King Trivia recap at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills. So, here it goes...

13 teams went head to head to try and take 1st, 2nd or 3rd place of course, but there was also a drinking round where teams tried to win a round of shots for whomever was drinking!

For the drinking round teams had to submit their best movie mashups. They had to take 2 movies and put them together and come up with a description for the movies. Some of the titles included Ready Player One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Cloverfield of Dreams, Dark City Slickers, Get Out of Africa, and LaLa Land Before Time just to make a few. But the team with the winning movie mashup went to Team Saucin' with there submission of No Country For Old White Men Can't Jump. You can read their description in the pictures above. They cast the movie and everything! Amazing job to all the teams!

Speaking of team Saucin', guess who won 2nd place? Yep, that's right! They did that too! Saucin' scored 82 points on their way to second place and a $20 gift certificate! Successful Double Downs in rounds 1, 5, and 6 paved their way to the second place prize! Awesome job!

Coming in third place and winners of the $10 gift certificate was team Kenny and Toast! They scored 71 points by doubling down in the 1st, 3rd, and 7th rounds! Wow! Way to go!

Coming in 1st place of course, were the Dominating Dominating Puffins! They scored 92 points and successfully doubled down in round 1, 2, 5 and 7! And they got the 10 point clue right on the 1st clue! Amazing job! Wow!

QUIZ RECAP

Another night of King trivia at pickwick's Pub on Wednesday night is in the books. 7 teams came out to play. And what a fun night it was!

For the drinking round, teams had to send up one player from their team to do their best celebrity impersonation. Taking the win with the best impression was Diversity Poster! Their impression of Tommy Wiseau, director and actor of the cult classic The Room, was spot on! Way to win those shots guys!

And not only did they win the drinking round, but Diversity Poster also won 2nd place after defeating Hanky Panky in a tie breaker! Both teams scored 64 points, but Diversity Poster guessed the closest number to how many people participated in the Guinness World Record of people playing the game leapfrog at one time! Way to go guys!

And recapturing first place, were the Mighty Mighty Puffins who scored 71 points to kill it again! Good to see you at the top again MMP!

QUIZ RECAP

Phew! What a Wednesday! It was the first Wednesday night in two weeks that it wasn't cold and rainy! The bar was packed from a birthday for one of the bartenders, and 50 people showed up to play trivia! One team even had a bunch of tiny baby sized hands on their fingers! It was a wacky Wednesday at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills for King Trivia for sure!

For the drinking round, teams had to send two players from their teams to compete in a race where one member picked up a plunger with only their legs, run around the bar with it between their legs, and then coming back and sticking the end of the plunger into an open empty bottle between their teammate's legs! It obviously provided plenty of laughs and fun! Completing the race in a rapid fast 18.44 seconds, Alt S or Be Sent really knows how to "get it in"! And they got it in and got a round of shots for whomever was drinking on their team! Way to go Alt S!

In third place, with 60 points, making their triumphant return after a 2 week hiatus, were the Mighty Mighty Puffins! Welcome back you guys! Missed ya!

In second place, scoring 62 points and also making a return after a long absence, were the Renaissance Women and Lancaster! Way to get that $20 gift certificate!

And killing it and scoring the best score of 69 points, always a winning score no matter what placement, were the appropriately named, And in First Place! It's like they are psychic or something! Who could have predicted it?! Way to go team! Enjoy that $30 gift certificate!
