About Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden

We are striving to bring the best in fresh & authentic German cuisine to Long Beach. Our menu includes various versions of schnitzel, sausages, Bavarian pretzels and of course our famous apple strudel.

It also includes multiple vegetarian & vegan options and kid-friendly dishes.

Rasselbock, Kitchen & Beer Garden is located in Bixby Knolls, a beautiful neighborhood just 10 min from Downtown Long Beach.

We have a parking lot with over 40 spots behind the restaurant and free parking on Atlantic Ave for 2h. Rasselbock is a German restaurant and pub specializing in German food with a modern twist and freshly tapped German and Belgian beers since we opened in 2016. Featuring over 35 German and Belgian beers, homemade sangrias and a great selection of German and Californian Wines.

Not only was this my first hosting Trivia at Rasselbock, this was my first time hosting King Trivia solo, and everyone was absolutely wonderful! The staff at Rasselbock were incredibly helpful and kind and the crowd was lively and chatty, making for an overall great night.

4 out of 5 teams doubled on the first round and won it all, putting Giddy Up, The Pujoles Supreme X-tacy, Pedestrian Agency, and Drink Coffee at the Merchant in a solid position to win, but the very next round Here for the Right Reasons pulled off a double or nothing putting them squarely in the lead!

Here for the Right Reasons held that lead all the way (with the other four teams breathing right down their necks) until the very end, when Drink Coffee at the Merchant aced the final round. Turns out the National Park theme was their forte, as team member Larry can name every single US National Park right off the top of his head!

Giddy Up managed to come in second, nailing every round with the exception of the Grey's Anatomy themed hand out in round 2. Here for the Right Reasons came in third, as National Parks turned out to be their kryptonite.

The 3MustGetBeers jumped off to an early lead with doubles in rounds 2 and 3, and held the lead through round 4, but were eventually done in by the furious comebacks of three late blooming contenders and finished fourth.

Drink Coffee at the Merchant doubled in rounds 5 and 6 to take an insurmountable lead in to the final round and take the crown.

Giddy Up doubled in rounds 6 and 7 to take second.

Pants! doubled in round 7 to surpass 3MustGetBeers and finish 3rd.

I had a blast hosting at Rasselbock last night. This was my first time hosting for Rasselbock and let me tell you--the staff is just amazing! I was having technical difficulties and they helped the whole way through which was amazing being as I am not so tech savvy.

Not only was the staff great, but my teams were such a joy to host for! My first place team Giddy Up took the lead doubling in both the first and second rounds and stayed in the lead ending at 62 points. Teams Schmidtzel, 900 Dollarydoos, and Pants! all dueled it out for 2nd and 3rd but in the end, Pants! and 900 Dollarydoos tied for second, but 909 Dollarydoos won the tie breaker for second place leaving their Pants! behind in 3rd!

Thank you so much for all the teams that joined last night, such a great vibe! I hope to be back!
