About Rasselbock Kitchen & Beer Garden

We are striving to bring the best in fresh & authentic German cuisine to Long Beach. Our menu includes various versions of schnitzel, sausages, Bavarian pretzels and of course our famous apple strudel.

It also includes multiple vegetarian & vegan options and kid-friendly dishes.

Rasselbock, Kitchen & Beer Garden is located in Bixby Knolls, a beautiful neighborhood just 10 min from Downtown Long Beach.

We have a parking lot with over 40 spots behind the restaurant and free parking on Atlantic Ave for 2h. Rasselbock is a German restaurant and pub specializing in German food with a modern twist and freshly tapped German and Belgian beers since we opened in 2016. Featuring over 35 German and Belgian beers, homemade sangrias and a great selection of German and Californian Wines.

Mike Tyson's Speech School achieved a new level of gamesmanship this Wednesday -- building a big enough lead that they could purposely not double their perfect final round to end with a score of 69 (Nice!).

Pants! finished second with 54, besting The Merchant by one. Pants! didn't miss a question for the first three rounds (although they only doubled one of those), but they were foiled by an incorrect guess in the Guess Who round. That allowed Mike Tyson's Speech School to open up a healthy 12 point lead after doubles in the third and fifth rounds.

The Merchant Says Tip Chefs in Beer achieved their second straight third place finish (albeit with more teammates this week).

The drinking round was an embarrassment -- the question was when the last time Ash Wednesday fell on March 6th. The closest guess was Pants! with 2007. The correct answer was 1957. I was tempted to switch to Price is Right rules and award it to Aaaaaaaahh!!!, who guessed 2 Million B.C.

A suspiciously low turnout at Rasselbock this Wednesday (foul play is assumed) kept everyone within striking distance of the lead until the final round, but it was newcomer Rocket Sloth who came out on top. On a night in which no team doubled, Rocket Sloth's perfect fifth round and nearly perfect 2nd and 6th were enough to earn them the 8 point win.

Big Soulja Big Draco ended their spell of futility, returning to the podium with a second place finish after going home empty handed for a number of weeks.

Trivia Amigos secured third place after a tiebreaker with #TeamCohen. They also won the drinking round by most closely guessing the number of times "Trump" was said in Michael Cohen's opening statement.

Hopefully all the missing teams will resurface next week, and I'll see you all then!

It looked like Mike Tyson's Speech School's streak of placing might come to an end, as they found themselves in 8th place after four rounds. However, they performed down the stretch, doubling in both the 5th and 6th rounds to take the lead and win back the title (after tying and losing the tiebreaker last week). Drink Coffee at the Merchant finished second and Pants! had their second consecutive third place finish.

Giddy Up dominated the drinking round by writing an incredible 42 presidents in 2 minutes (besting the second place team by 7, and only missing two presidents [Hoover & Truman])
