BDB uses only whole ingredients to make everything from scratch&by hand-condiments,dressings,sausage,lox,pastries,cakes,breadsNo fakes,noGMO,no chemicals.
Fun and frivolity was once again on display this week at the Back Door Bakery and Cafe, and it was anybody's game to win as the final scores were close, close, CLOSE!
Hodge Podge - the formidable force pictured in photo #1 - emerged victorious with a strong 76-point performance. From there, things got a little tight. The Pharmacy Professionals ended regulation play in a tie with THAT Team! The Pharmacists won the tie breaker to take second place, with THAT Team! in third.
Just one point behind all of that, with a very respectable 42 points, The Smart "A's" were, indeed, pretty smart. Maybe you'll get that single point for winner's circle glory next week, A's!

Fun and frivolity broke out all over the Back Door Bakery and Caf? this week, and it was anybody's game to win as the final scores were close, close, CLOSE!
Hodge Podge emerged from the fray in first place - as they often do - but the win was a squeaker, with just two points separating the Podge people from the Maidelas of Shana, who finished in second place with 39 to Podge's 41.
The third spot in our winner's circle was occupied by new friends The Blobs. who came in from Montrose to sample King Trivia, Sunland/Tujunga style. That's them in photo #7 above, clearly not blobby at all, though we'd like to know what one of their teammates was thinkin' in photo #6.

Baking makes me focus. On weighing the sugar. On sieving the flour. I find it calming and rewarding because, in fairness, it is sort of magic - you start off with all this disparate stuff, such as butter and eggs, and what you end up with is so totally different. And also delicious.

Baking is love, and you can definitely taste the love at The Back Door Bakery & Cafe. You can also taste the delicious trivia every Wednesday night at 6:30. We put a lot of love and focus into that, too!
