With successful double-or-nothing moves in the 5th and 6th rounds, Hungry leaped into first place and never looked back this week at the Back Door Bakery & Cafe in Sunland/Tujunga.
The aptly named Hungry ate up the competition, that included formidable efforts from Hodge Podge (2nd) and THAT Team!! (third)
The "best team name of the night" award goes to BDB in #1 (who usually plays as The Three Caballeros but apparently wanted to make a statement this week - a sentiment which we endorse wholeheartedly.

The lead changed hands four times during the quiz this week at The Backdoor Bakery & Caf? in Sunland Tujunga. The formidable Hodge Podge jumped out to an early lead, only to be surpassed midgame by the intrepid quizzers of Shana Maidelas! Undaunted, Hodge Podge came roaring back in the late rounds and took the win with a well-executed double in the final, decisive round.
Adding spice to the festivities, new quiz friends David & Abby took third place by one point over our other new quiz friend, Newbies! Attaway to be competitive in your first quiz, guys! Well done!

Another delightful night of cutthroat trivia competition this week at The Back Door Bakery and Caf?, where the food is delicious, the quizzers are delightful and time seems to stop for two hours every week while we engage in King Trivia excitement.
Congratulations to Lucky Lukes, who harnessed the energy of their third-place finish last week and rode it to the top of the scoreboard this week. WINNING!
Frequent top-three finishers, Hodge Podge and Shana Maidelas also put forth their usual fine efforts, and we even made a few new quiz friends last night. So all in all, in was another excellent evening at the DBD - where the only thing we haven't decided yet is what we like better, the bakery part, of the caf? part.
