QUIZ RECAP

The lightning punctuated night filled with electricity made by spectacular trivia goers with spectacular scores. In round 1, teams had either perfect or near-perfect scores but no one doubled! That changed in the next round, with teams hardly missing any questions and three doubles from our bolder participants. There was a bit of a reality check in round 3 as teams either got perfect scores or missed only one question, that one turned out to be rather fateful, however and three teams goose egged when they should have strayed from doubling. You need to swatch out, folks and not TAG the wrong answer.

Round 4 played a little more conservative, and teams tagged the virgin billionaire with a healthy and tight bell curve. The leaders began to solidify by round 5, and actually the game was decided in round 6 because in round 7, every single remaining team doubled down successfully! That's right! It was insane! and made for some fun math. Every team scored 18 points and returned their pens which meant that with 2 exceptions, the places did not shift, and did not shift at all for this weeks' top three.

What a spectacular night! The game started off around one with eight out of the nine teams successfully doubling down! Nigh unbelievable!

In round two over half the teams double down again! We were thinking this is getting a bit ridiculous and things begin to slow down in rounds three and four, but pick right back up again around five with mostly 90% scores from most teams. With pressure mounting, round six proved fafateful as teams, wary of losing their standing, or forced to choose between doubling down or not. Goumg bold proved to be a wise decision for the casual American cannibals, that double down secured their place and round seven, while shaky did not steer them wrong, placing second for possibly the first time, only one point ahead of Quiz kid Donnie Smith, and following this week's champions Tequila Mockingbirds with an astounding 102 points, possibly the 1st Super-Hundred score in a year!

The Night started off with a splash, but after we cleaned that up, teams did moderately well, with a mode of 4. The second round was a little higher scoring, by percentage, but way higher by points, with more opportunities to rack them up!

Round 3 slowed things down a little with less possible scores, and less confidence, but Drake Wheeled through everyone's minds early and most teams had it by the second clue, scoring 8 points. After a brief respite in the drinking round, teams were back again, vainly trying to capture the theme for round 5, yet only one would score all 10 right and be able to successfully chance that double-down.

Round 6 was pleasingly high scoring and this quizmaster's faith in our teams history and linguistic knowledge was restored, just under half the teams scored successful doubles. It was round 7, though where teams brought out their best classic whodunit experience, searching every room for a Clue. There's Always Next Week, Nailing their third-in-a-row double down, adding to their previous success, Rocketed even higher, scoring an astounding 95 points, and winning the night.
