It's Tuesday Night Trivia....vs the Dodgers.

It was an interesting night of trivia competing with the Dodgers playoff game, but we made it work and fun was still had by all.

Nasty Women started off strong in round 1 with a successful double. Tequila Mockingbirds should have doubled.

The Curtis Granderson Experience pulled ahead to first place in round 2 with a successful double.

In round 3, Running with Caesars was the only team to successfully double, while The Handsome Brothers, Emmie, and The Dodgers all tried their hands at doubling but failed.

In Round 4, Tequila Mockingbirds, Oxymorons and Invitation Rescinded realized it was a fictional character this evening and got the answer (Jon Snow) at 10 points. (The clues for that round were particularly humorous - we all thought so).

Round 5 saw a LOT of doubles...unsuccessful ones, that is. Kid's Table, Running with Caesars, the Dodgers, There's Always Next Week and The Handsome Brothers all got a gut-wrenching zero and all because of the same wrong answer. This allowed Tequila Mockingbirds to slowly creep up to tie Curtis Granderson Experience for first place, and put Oxymorons squarely in second.

Round 6 saw a lot of unsuccessful doubles again, this time by Kids Table, Running with Caesars, There's Always Next Week, The Cricket and The Handsome Brothers. Curtis Granderson eeked ahead of Tequila Mockingbirds by 1 point this round.

For the final round, Tequila Mockingbirds pulled ahead for the win, followed by Invitation Rescinded in 2nd place. There was a tie for 3rd place between Oxymorons and Nasty Women. Oxymorons guessed the closer amount of calories in Applebee's Blue Ribbon Brownie to secure their 3rd place spot.

I tried out a new intro tonight. It went something like this:

It's Tuesday night King Trivia! Starring....The Kids Table (they cheered), Running with Caesars (more cheers), Tequila Mockingbirds (ca-CAW!), the Oxymorons (woohoo), There's Always Next Week (even more cheers), and Ovaltine Jenkins (yay)! 

I'm Rebekah and I'll be your quizmaster for the evening! 

The teams seemed to enjoy it and it got everyone in the competitive spirit.

In Round 1, Every team doubled except for There's Always Next Week.

Round 2 saw more successful doubles, by everyone but Tequila Mockingbirds, who fell behind.

Round 3 was a Pineapple Hill trivia first - every single team doubled successfully!

In Round 4, the amazing winning streaks continued when every team but The Oxymorons got "Dolly Parton" on the 10 point clue.

Round 5 shook things up a bit. Oxymorons, There's Always Next Week, Tequila Mockingbirds and Running with Caesars all doubled...unsuccessfully. Two teams - Kid's Table and No Means Yes actually doubled successfully, putting them tied for first place with 72 points. One-man team Brain Fart joined this round.

For Round 6, all but The Oxymorons successfully doubled. BSFV All Stars decided to join the game.

Kid's Table and No Means Yes had PERFECT SCORES going into Round 7. They successfully doubled every round, and got the "Guess Who" round on 10 points, something nearly unheard of.

It was a tight race for Round 7, and it all came down to who knew their cars the best. Winning by a mere 2 points, and only missing 1 answer in the final round, the winner ended up being... No Means Yes (Ovaltine Jenkins)!

Congrats on their high score win (103 points!)

Trivia Tuesday for the win!

Round 1 started off strong for all teams - every team got a perfect score! Kids Table should have doubled, but didn't, so they started off a few points behind everyone else.

In Round 2, Won't Back Downers pulled ahead of everyone else by 1 point.

In Round 3, almost all the teams doubled again!

For Round 4, we had a record number of guesses on the 10 point clue (9 teams got it correct).

Round 5 really shook things up. Only two teams doubled, Tequila Mockingbirds and Won't Back Downers putting both of them solidly ahead of the rest of the teams, with Won't Back Downers ahead by a mere point. Smartinis should have doubled.

Since we were short on time, and following the theme of Monopoly from the connection round, the drinking round was "According to Business Insider how many days was the longest game of Monopoly?" The answer is 70 straight days. Won't Back Downers won a free round of drinks with their guess of 55.

Round 6 really shook things up. Smartinis really know their mystery meats as they were the only team to successfully double the round, catapulting them into 3rd place. Tequila Mockingbirds should have doubled, but still knew enough to pull ahead by 1 point.

In the last round, Won't Back Downers and Running with Caesars both got an impressive 8 out of 10 answers correct. But the Tequila Mockingbirds swooped in with a successful double, securing their first place win!
