What a great turnout for this pre-holiday game!

We had quite a few newcomers mixing in with our league players and regulars, and some tough questions and failed double-or-nothin's kept it a tight race for the first few rounds.

But the find the connection round let the top four teams break away from the pack and it was a tight race to the finish between them!

Our tiebreaker for second place went to the Oxymorons, holding their own with only two players for the night.

Three successful double point rounds is what gave the Tequila Mockingbirds their final jump to first place, even taking home the drinking round to top it off!

Thank you everyone for a great night and a special thanks to our wonderful host Rebekah on her last night of hosting this Tuesday game, we can't wait to have you back on the Tequila Mockingbird team!

QUIZ RECAP

Happy Hanukkah to all my Jewish friends and trivia players!  Tuesday night was fun as co-host Chloe and I  took turns reading the questions.

Many teams started off strong with doubles in the first round. Things changed it up a bit in the second round, where only There's Always Next Year (formerly There's Always Next Week, but this is their last game until the new year) sailed ahead with a double.

The drinking round game was one of my personal favorites. People had to place a paper plate on their head and without looking draw the best Santa Claus. The goal was to be better than mine (mine is the first pic.) Whiskey Pretzels (the second picture) took first place in the drinking round, followed by There's Always Next Year and Nasty Women. You can see all the drawings after the team pics.

With There's Always Next Year squarely in first, it was a tie for second place going into the final round. Tequila Mockingbirds and Kids Table were once again trying to secure their spot in the top. Ultimately, 2nd place went to Tequila by 1 point! (this is the third time in a row they've been Kid's Table by 1 point).

Much fun was had on Tuesday at Pineapple Hill!

Round 1 started off strong for 5 teams with successful doubles.

Round 2, The Kids Table tried to move ahead with a double, but sadly didn't succeed. Tequila Mockingbirds, Viva la Vulva and No Reservations all had successful doubles.

Kid's Table redeemed themselves in Round 3 with a double. About 4 other teams doubled that round, but Tequila Mockingbirds were well in the lead by this point with a perfect game so far.

Things changed for them in Round 4, where they didn't get the answer on the 10 point clue. But I'ts Mueller Time and Kid's Table did! (It was Gary Oldman....for some reason I just love Gary Oldman).

Round 5, a whopping 7 teams doubled successfully!

For the drinking round, I had them write a holiday poem of any kind. The bouncer, Nick and I apparently have dirty minds because we thought the funniest was also the crassest, written by It's Mueller Time. I don't think most people appreciated it.

It's Mueller Time tried to come up from behind in Round 6 with a double, but sadly they missed only 1 answer.

Round 7 saw Tequila far in the lead, followed by Running with Caesars. Kid's Table and No Reservations vying for 3rd place. Ultimately the Kids were beat by one point, and No Reservations took that win.
