QUIZ RECAP

Woohoo! King Trivia on Wednesday night at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills brought in an enthusiastic crowd of 16 teams ready to try and win some prizes and drinks! I love it when the crowd cheers when the show starts! It's the best!

For the Drinking Round, teams had to send one player up to play a version of a game originally made popular by the former gameshow Minute to Win It. Each contestant had to start with 2 pencils on the back of one of their hands and they had to flip them up and catch them in mid air with the same hand without dropping any. Each time they successfully caught the pencils, they would add two pencils and try and perform the same task. The person that successfully catches the most pencils would win the Drinking Round and a round of shots for their team. It was a tough competition, but several teams got the hang of it, in fact two teams successfully caught 13 pencils. But the winner of the game was Jamaican Me Crazy who successfully caught 14 pencils without dropping any! Way to go! Hope you enjoyed the shots!

Coming in third place scoring 46 points was our naturally creative and photogenic team, Alternanative Facts. They are notorious for always coming up with a different team photo style whenever they're in the winner's circle. Wednesday's picture was no different. Check it out above!

Coming in 2nd place thanks to a successful double or nothing in Round 6, was team Blue Milk! These Star Wars fans were able to score 56 points on their way to seizing the 2nd place victory! Enjoy the $20 gift certificate you scruffy looking nerf herders! I'm just kidding, your not scruffy looking!

And coming in 1st place was, just take a wild guess, that's right, the Mighty Mighty Puffins! They scored 71 points even without a full squad! You guys kick ass! Enjoy your $30 gift certificate!

Whooohooooo! Wednesday recap time y'all! A recap for a what?! You're on the King Trivia Recap page for Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills! You didn't end up here by accident! So let's get at it!

For the Drinking Round, it started with a game of Simon Says, but it was too difficult for Simon to fool anyone, so we had to resort to a tournament style game of Rock, Paper, Scissors instead. Winning the Drinking Round after dominating three opponents with his Rock paper scissors prowess, was team Nobody Puts Baby in a Corner, who were in fact, sitting in the corner of the bar! But nobody put them there! Congrats on the round of shots NPBiaC!

Coming in 3rd place scoring 61 points, thanks to a successful double or nothing in round 6, were Hanky Panky! They took home the $10 Gift Certificate! Sweet!

The battle between 1st and 2nd was a much tighter race! Only 3 points separated the 2 teams! In second place, scoring 73 points was Alternative Facts! They successfully doubled down in rounds 3 and 7, but just came up short of the 1st place victory! It's ok though, they took home the $20 gift certificate!

And who could have possibly won 1st place? Which team has the continued dominance at Pickwick's King Trivia night? Well none other than the perpetual top 3 team almost every single week, the Mighty Mighty Puffins! They scored 76 points and scored themselves the $30 gift certificate! Woot woot!

Packed house at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills for Wednesday night's King Trivia! Let's get into the recap!

For the Drinking Round, each team had to come up with their best pick up lines. The winner would be voted on by the host, and the two bartenders. All the entries are posted in the pictures above, but the winning team was Cardenas Supreme with their line, "Are you my pinky toe? Cause I want to bang you on the coffee table!" They won a round of shots for their team! All for writing down a pick up line! Who comes up with this stuff? Oh right, its me.

Coming in 3rd place were the Mighty Mighty Puffins! Usually to be found in the top 3 of any team most weeks of the year, usually they're number 1 or number 2! Rarely do they get third. But sadly their 55 points couldn't get them into the top two spots this week. But they still went home with a $10 Pickwick's Pub gift card woot woot!

Coming in 2nd place scoring 68 points were another usually strong team, The Renaissance Women! WereW not always blessed with their presence, but when they do, they tear it up. They won a 20$ gift certificate!

Last but not least, Alternative Facts, another team that hovers at the top, and the team that takes the best team win photos, won the 1st place prize and a $30 gift certificate! Way to go!
