QUIZ RECAP

Wednesday's are hopping at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills for King Trivia and if you haven't been, you're doing yourself an injustice and you're missing out on a ton of fun! This last week was no different as 65 players and 13 teams showed up to have some drinks and test their drunk brain recollection!

For the drinking round the task was simple. First, each team had to send up one of its players to compete, but the teams had no idea what the drinking round game was going to be. One by one the player chosen by each team had 15 seconds to say the name of the bar, Pickwick's Pub, as many times as possible. Whomever said it the most in 15 seconds, would win the drinking round and a round of shots for their team. Mighty Mighty Puffins secured the win by saying Pickwick's Pub 25 times in 15 seconds! Most impressive!

Mighty Mighty Puffins also came in second place and took home a $20 gift certificate by scoring 71 points! On the final round, they got all 10 answers correct, but they did not double down. Had they doubled down, they would have taken first place by 8 points! But taking free shots and a $20 gift certificate ain't a bad night!

Coming in third place with 61 points and taking home a $10 gift certificate, was Diversity Poster! Way to go team!

And in 1st place winning by 2 points because of their successful double or nothing in the final round, was team PTSDCC! They scored 73 points and took home the $30 gift certificate from under the Puffins' noses! Excellent job PTSDCC!

If you still haven't shown up to Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills on Wednesday night for King Trivia, I question what could possibly be more important? Every week many teams gather to test their brain power and win gift certificates and shots, and you're missing out! This past Wednesday was no different!

For the Drinking Round, teams had to send up two players to play a game where they had to stack a pyramid of red Solo cups using only a rubber band between the two of them. They could not touch the Solo cup with their hands only with the rubber band to lift it and drop it onto the pyramid. The fastest team to do this would win the drinking round and round of shots for their team. With a blazingly fast time of 38.74 seconds Caterpillar Quitters won the drinking round! The next fastest team did it in 49.88 seconds so that was blazingly fast for sure! Amazing job!

Coming in third place after a tiebreaker question, was Alternative Facts who scored 68 points. Unfortunately for them, they did not know the year that Arnold Schwarzenegger was born and thus they lost the tiebreaker question. But, they didn't go home empty-handed as they won a $10 gift certificate back to the bar.

The winners of that tiebreaker question, guessing within two years of Arnold Schwarzenegger's correct birth year, was Hanky Panky, who also scored 68 points! They took home the $20 gift certificate! Woot woot!

And of course, our always challenging team of the Mighty Mighty Puffins continued their domination with another first-place finish! They scored 74 points to win the first place prize!!

QUIZ RECAP

I think we can all agree, Wednesday nights are the perfect nights to play a game of King Trivia at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills! This Wednesday nights game was no different! We started a little later than normal due to a misplaced PA system, but it was found and the late start allowed more teams to join the fun!

It was 7-11 day but not one person in the bar had taken advantage of the free slurpee day at 7-Eleven! Shocking!

For the Drinking Round, each team competed in a head to head tournament-style game of Gaucho Ball! The object of the game, was to bounce your ping pong ball into your own cup and then stack that cup into the opponent's cup before they get their ping pong ball into their own. If your cup got stcked beforebyour ping pong ball was in, that player would be eliminated. The last person standing wins a round of shots! Well after playing 4 grueling rounds, The Best took the round of shots with the win!!!

Coming in third place, was team Diversity Poster who were only ten points behind our leaders! Can you guess who it is? More on that later...

Coming in second place was our celebrity named team, Don Glover Dong Lover who scored 60 points! So close to the leader... Any guesses?

With 63 points, the Mighty Mighty Puffins win first place, continuing their dominating performances with another victory!

All in all a solid performance by all teams! See you again next Wednesday night right back at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills!
