QUIZ RECAP

A wet and rainy Wednesday night and people mourning the loss of Stephen Hawking resulted in 6 teams coming out to play King Trivia At Pickwick's Pub. It was a fun night nonetheless and a celebration of Pi Day 3/14!

How did we celebrate it you ask? Well, for the drinking round, a player from two teams, Hanky Panky, and Alpha battled it out in a head to head, good ole fashioned Pie Eating Contest! Check out the photos! Hanky Panky straight up killed it to win the round of shots for his team! Way to go Hanky Panky!

But that's not all for Hanky Panky, as they also took home the second place prize of a $20 gift certificate by scoring 53 points! A solid night at trivia for sure!

And coming in first place from the get go, 2 guys on the team The Stephen Hawking Sex Squad, scored a whopping 57 points and took home the $30 gift certificate! Way to go you two!

QUIZ RECAP

I went to see the movie Game Night earlier this week, and in the opening scene of the movie, the two main characters, played by Rachael McAdams and Jason Bateman, meet while playing bar trivia! It's safe to say this whole bar trivia thing is pretty damn popular!

And it was completely evident at Pickwick's Pub in Woodland Hills on Wednesday night for King Trivia as more than 70 players packed into the tiny pub!

For the drinking round, players had to move empty soda cans from one table to another using a stick of dry spaghetti in their mouth. Whover transferred all 4 cans the fastest would win the drinking round and a round of shots for their team. In a rare 3rd place, the usual 1st place team the Mighty Mighty Puffins took home the $10 gift certificate this time scoring 55 points.

Finally breaking into the winner's circle, Diversity Postcard (a smaller Diversity Poster team) scored 58 points and took home the 2nd place prize, a $20 gift certificate! Good job Diversity Postcard!

And finally, in 1st place, team Sandy Nachos killed it, scoring 76 points for the win! They were the only team to successfully double down in 3 rounds, helping them secure the victory! Most impressive Sandy Nachos!

Other notables, it was a player named Chris's birthday on Wednesday night, so Happy Birthday again Chris!

QUIZ RECAP

T'was a more intimate night of King Trivia at Pickwick's Pub on Wednesday night. It was cold outside, but nice and warm inside the bar.

For the Drinking Round, each team sent one player to play. The game, darts. Butttttt, players had to throw with their non-dominant hands. They each got three tries, and the one that was the closest to the bullseye would win the round of shots for their teams. Team Ruf went first and set the bear high with the first dart thrown ending maybe an inch to an inch and a half away from the bullseye. No one else got that close until the last player to go, from team Feel The Rhythm, Feel the Rhyme through their last dart, which ended up a half an inch or less from the bullseye. Since they were the last team to go, and they got the closest to the bullseye, they won the shots! Talk about Clutch!

In Second Place, Dog Mama's and Papas, scored 49 points. They started the night with a successful double or nothing in Round 1, and led the game through Round 6. But in the final round, our winning team took over the lead! Nice try regardless!

Bet you can't guess which team were the lead stealers for first place.... Oh you guessed the Mighty Mighty Puffins? Then I owe you 2 quarters. They stole the lead right out from the Dog Mama's and Papas paws! The Puffins scored 51 points to just edge out the DM&Ps in the final round, and all withoit any Double or nothing's! Way to go guys!
